Halloween Horror Nights 13 Special Preview series

Thanks to Resorts World Sentosa, we can all enjoy a special sneak peek before Halloween Horror Nights 13 officially begins. Split into 3 parts, you’ll get a first look at this year’s Haunted Houses, a rush of fear meeting this year’s new Icons and M3GAN, as well as a taste of terror at Blumhouse Bar!

Halloween Horror Nights 13 will begin from 26 September 2025, and you can get all the information you need at the HHN13 Event Guide, or buy your HHN13 tickets now via Klook.

In this story, you’ll see creative costuming at work along with first looks at some of this year’s iconic characters!

Hosted by Coral from the park’s Entertainment team, the special preview kicked off as M3GAN horde arrived to “disrupt” the session.

As part of a special collaboration with Blumhouse Productions, M3GAN is everywhere. You’ll get to meet her at the Blumhouse Bar, but more on that in another article!

The park’s “creative evil geniuses” then brought out some of HHN13 icons and shared more about their costuming design.

Obsessed with eternal life, Mr Rabid (Once Upon a Time… to Die) is a twisted manipulator that steals time from other fairy tales. He wears a Thirteen-o-clock on his waistcoat, designed with luxurious details to reflect that he came from aristocracy.

The Black Spirit (Death Whisperer) wears a traditional Thai funeral attire, suggesting that she can exist across long periods of time. Her dress has been aged and weathered however, showing her immortality.

Without any weapon or cursed embellishments – her aura alone brings fear.

“Home is where the heart, and horror is”. The Demon Sinseh (Singapore’s Most Haunted: Build to Horror) uses cursed acupuncture needles to trap his victims’ souls and gain power and achieve immortality.

His look is inspired by Han Dynasty physician Hua Tuo, he wears a hanfu robe with outer vest, but the silhouette is intentionally made exaggerated with its sculpted layers. The giant wooden bead necklace is another local touch, referencing the “beads uncle” busker in Singapore.

Deen (Head of Hair and Makeup Department at USS) did a special reveal for the next icon, the Death Devil (The FEARground)

The Death Devil is a legendary show-stopping daredevil that unfortunately met a fiery end in his last death-defying act.

Pulled back from the dead at The FEARground, he now leads the carnies and freaks at the cursed fairground.

The special effects makeup for the Death Devil will need to look gruesome, yet flexible enough for him to talk, as he will be hosting the Dare or Die LIVE! show.

Other costumes from The FEARground were also displayed, such as Chatterbox Charlie, a creepy life-sized ventriloquist that is now trapped in a life-sized dummy, along with a puppet.

With Mr Nibbles, we now have confirmation that clowns are back at HHN13. Watch out for him when you wandering around the streets of The FEARground – you might become his next victim!

I’m sure seeing all these creative costumes will inspire some of you to dress up for Halloween Horror Nights 13! Good news, costume rules have relaxed further in 2025, allowing guests to wear costumes that meet guidelines at HHN13. Costume masks are still not allowed.

Costume Policy and Guidelines at Universal Studios Singapore Halloween Horror Nights 2025

Applicable from 12 Sept to 2 Nov 2025 only.

Guests must be fully clothed, including shoes and shirts.
Guests may not be admitted to Universal Studios Singapore if costume worn can disrupt public order, incite trouble, is morally offensive or violates public decency laws.
Except as required by RWS, religious or medical reasons, guests shall not wear any covering that fully or partially obscures a person’s face, including costume masks, prosthetic makeup, facial coverings, and face applications. Face painting is permitted only if it covers no more than one-half of the face (applied vertically only). Guests may be requested to modify their make-up or remove any type of facial covering to meet the above standards.
No special or atmospheric effects, including but not limited to lights, balloons, smoke, fog, effects powered by electricity or battery, and sound effects, are permitted.
Guests shall not wear costumes or accessories (e.g. uniforms, or props) that may create a false impression or cause confusion that guests are affiliated with Universal Studios Singapore and are part of the experience. This includes but is not limited to any form of impersonation of civil personnel, park team members, entertainers, and attraction themes (e.g scare zones, haunted houses, shows, etc). Guests may be requested to modify their costume or accessories (where possible) or remove their accessories to meet the above standards. If guests are unable to modify their costumes, they may be requested to change their costumes.
Costumes, accessories and any items that may pose a danger to other guests and team members are not allowed. This includes but is not limited to veils, long trains, stilts, and oversized costumes.
For the safety of all guests, including yourself, you may be asked to remove loose accessories and/or part(s) of your costume before participating in certain attractions. Also, depending on the type of costume worn, you may not be admitted to certain attractions.
Any item that resembles a weapon or is manufactured in the shape of a weapon (including toys and handmade items) cannot be brought into the park (except merchandise that is sold at Universal Studios Singapore).
Please refrain from dangerous actions and/or behavior that may hinder the operation of shows and attractions or may frighten other guests.
Please refrain from photography or filming that may be bothersome to other guests.
Please refrain from wearing make-up that can smudge or rub off on other guests, team members or park facilities.
