Overview and Thoughts
Special Experiences have been a unique offering in Singapore’s Horror Nights line-up, starting from an exciting Zombie Laser Tag (2017), the series of three options in 2022, and last year’s elaborate DIE-ning in Hell that is linked to a haunted house. Special Experiences were also sometimes bundled with the RIP Tour product to offer guests the most complete experience that each event has to offer.
This year, in place of a three-course sit-down dinner, the new Viper Lounge Special Experience format offers guests an immersive experience with a lot of flexibility. First, you do not have to remain in the venue for a fixed duration. You can leave early, or stay on for the full sequence of scenes. For food and drinks, you can order the Viper Lounge’s unique set, or add on with other items from KT’s Grill’s menu. Also, you don’t have to stay seated throughout the whole experience – you are encouraged to walk around and explore, and there are several spaces for you to take photos. You can also interact with any of the vampires if you want – but whether they entertain you, that’s another question altogether.
The Viper Lounge is directly connected to Vampire Alley. In fact, it takes place in the scare zone. After walking through grimy, dark streets, a vampire lures you in – if you are worthy… or a suitable sacrifice guest for an elusive clan of vampires.

Once you’re in, you can walk around and explore this opulent bar filled with unusual spaces and curios on display.
As you explore the lounge’s spaces, you will have chance encounters with the vampires. Some might say it’s a show, but it’s more of an interactive theatre with several scenes happening throughout a 45-minute set.
Notable characters include Big Boss, the current leader of the clan. Bored with his eternal reign, he seeks a new challenge, a fresh source of excitement. Can you offer him that at Viper Lounge?
Hotshot and Ingénue may be the youngest in the clan, but their privileged lifestyle is far from ordinary. Their complex relationship is further complicated by the clan’s messy social dynamics and power struggles.
The androgynous vampire X is ruthless and cold, but also the right hand of the Big Boss. A master of both physical intimidation and subtle manipulation, they are also ruthless in spreading tea that kills.
The enigmatic Lady of Bath is a formidable force within the clan. She harbours a deep-seated desire for power and disregards the Big Boss’s authority. Her thirst for power also drives her to perform dark rituals to sustain her vampiric immortality.
Events that can happen in Viper Lounge include the gathering of the Clan, as they greet their leader.
The Lady of Bath will soon start The Turning, a dark ritual, by draining the blood of an innocent victim.
The vampire clan will gather to offer their immortal blood into a sacred bowl, and with voices rising in a chilling unison, their chanting echoes through the lounge.
You too can partake in the ceremony, sipping a shot of this blood elixir that will temporarily transform you into one of the undead.
If you have paid for the S$35 add-on tickets (or used the S$25 meal vouchers from RIP Tour here), then you will also be served a drink of your choice at Viper Lounge, each topped with roasted marshmallows coated with cinnamon sugar.

Demon’s Ale (non-alcoholic): Apple juice with ginger ale on the rocks
Two canapes are also offered in the Rest in Pieces set, served in a coffin: Deep-fried chicken thigh with breadcrumbs, mozzarella cheese, tomato coulis and chopped chives; plus a Charcoal bun filled with mini frank, Tex-Mex ragout, caramelised onions, almond flakes, pickle relish and fresh greens.
As you enjoy the refreshments, you can witness some of the random happenings inside Viper Lounge.
As the night unfolds, Big Boss revels in the chaos, orchestrating a night of debauchery and indulgence, determined to stir passion and excitement within himself and his unsuspecting guests.
From time to time, new victims from Vampire Alley are offered to the Elders, and it is the Big Boss who assesses their worthiness. Whether they still have a pulse (or not), if the offerings are deemed stale or unworthy, a swift punishment awaits those responsible.
Some will judge, some will gossip. But in the world of the undead, appearances can be all deceiving.
Secret Events inside HHN12 Viper Lounge
There are also secret encounters that are well… not so secret anymore, now that I’ve reported them here.
I call one of them the Loyal to the Lady encounter, which may happen anytime, but perhaps the best moment is when the Lady of Bath discovers a pamphlet from the Sisters of the Sun and is left seething with disgust. Pledge your eternal devotion to the Lady, offering your heart and soul to her, and she may reward you with the Vampiric Blood pendant for your loyalty.
Should you gain Ingénue’s trust, she may lead you away from the main lounge area.
She brings you away to a secret space for an intimate encounter.
Here you will discover the Ingénue’s Lament encounter, and uncover some of her secrets. She hands you the Radiant Uprising pin, a mark of your allegiance to the Sisters of the Sun faction.
