Halloween Horror Nights 13 Special Preview series

Thanks to Resorts World Sentosa, we can all enjoy a special sneak peek before Halloween Horror Nights 13 officially begins. Split into 3 parts, you’ll get a first look at this year’s Haunted Houses, a rush of fear meeting this year’s new Icons and M3GAN, as well as a taste of terror at Blumhouse Bar!

Halloween Horror Nights 13 will begin from 26 September 2025, and you can get all the information you need at the HHN13 Event Guide, or buy your HHN13 tickets now via Klook.

For this preview, get your first look inside haunted houses that are still works-in-progress. This preview only shows selected rooms in the middle of the entire attraction. It also does not represent the completed presentation as special effects were not activated, and some scenes have additional work lights switched on.

Stranger Things (2025) haunted house

The 2025 Stranger Things haunted house at Universal Studios Singapore will bring iconic scenes from Season 2 to 4 of the hit Netflix series. Some scenes from the first Stranger Things house (2018) are returning with a new design, including Byers’ Home and Hawkins National Laboratory.

For this preview, I got to explore inside Brimborn Steel Works and bring you along in this article.

As you make your way into the basement, you discover the lair of the Mind Flayer and the possessed residents that became infected.

Trapped among the infected, some of the Flayed Residents drift between control- some begging for your help to escape, while others do not want you to leave.

Watch out for the glowing biomass that will eventually meld into the Mind Flayer’s body.

Escaping from the Steel Works, you find yourself at The Battle of Starcourt. In this iconic environment, the Mind Flayer has destroyed the mall, and remnants of shops still remain.

While it’s impossible to build the mall to scale, the scenic team used creative ways to design the space to emulate the feel of walking through a wrecked mall. You can expect some special effects to mimic the (rather dazzling) battle with the Mind Flayer – which stares terrifyingly closer to you.

Here is where you will also meet Billy Hargrove, as he makes his sacrifice so that Max and the others can live.

The next scene right after this brings you right into an iconic scene from Season 4, but unfortunately I’m not allowed to capture or show that. You have to see it yourself at the event!

Death Whisperer

We now make our way to 1972, in the rural village of Kanchanaburi…

Death Whisperer will start off at Yak and Yam’s (the protagonists) family home on the farm. That is where most of the first film takes place, as the hauntings intensify overnight for the family. Unfortunately, exploring the home is not part of the preview.

Instead, we fast forward to the moment where Yak decides to venture into the forest and confront the evil Witch that has broken into his home.

As part of the tour, the creative team described how iconic scenes from both Death Whisperer films are put together.

Inside the Witch’s Hut, where you will meet Chuay, you will find all sorts of weird props (just like the film). The lighting design also mimics the film, with daylight peeking in – illuminating the horrifying sights.

This also makes some scares more effective because the details just pop out – from the characters’ makeup to the blood-stained walls.

Another unique design for the Death Whisperer house is the use of stacked rooms, where another scene is built on top of the first. This brings you to the action in Death Whisperer 2 where Yak travels to Dong Khomot to hunt for ghouls.

Specifically, the part where everyone tries to climb up the trees to escape from the malevolent beings below. But it’s more of a fun feeling of walking through a mini maze among the trees.

(The accessible pathway will bypass the treetops scene and bring guests directly to the next scene, the swamp, that takes place below the treetops)
