This year, the park crafted cinematic experiences that are more imaginative… and deadlier than the last two years. Check back in October as this site goes into full Halloween mode with over 11 special features on the new haunting attractions and experiences – presented by Dejiki style.

Review: HHN7 Haunted Houses
Haunted Houses are walkthrough attractions with special effects and intense scares. This year, every house embodies one of the Deadlier Sins.
TERROR-Cotta Empress
Explore the ruins of Empress Qing’s mausoleum, a vast burial ground filled with terracotta figures.
After a detour in the caverns, you suddenly find yourself in an entirely different place… and time.
A cruel tale of ascension comes to life as you explore the royal palace. Of course, not everyone would submit to her rule, and if you don’t – you might suffer the same fate.
If you manage to escape from her palace and torture chambers, do not disturb her final resting place.
It was a delight to see the detailed palace chambers, uncommon special effects and quite a handful of memorable rooms – well, she is Halloween royalty. This also felt like the longest maze – after all, you’re going back in time.. and hopefully back.

HEX
If you could wish for anything – what would it be? Love? Revenge? Hope? Success? You’ll have the time to think about it as you trek through a creepy jungle to the Midnight Man’s house of black magic.
He can offer you anything you want… at a price. Before you decide, you might want to review some real-life testimonials from previous customers.
As Midnight Man ensnares his victims into an unending realm of manipulation, every wish becomes a curse, often with fatal outcomes.
The effects here can be quite… morbid (if you are lucky you can watch the entire ‘Baby’ wish effect unfold), and there are some of the most dramatic performances in this house. So don’t miss this house. And be careful what you wish for.

Inside The Mind
Breach into a Secure Psychiatric Facility, where you can venture Inside The Mind of a serial killer.
This is not a typical visit to a correctional facility.
Your trip will uncover the various parts inside the brain and phases of the murderer’s mind – from repressed memories, adrenaline corridors, the moment of the ‘kill’, recovering from impulses, and ultimately losing control to his obsession.
Full of unconventional elements, Inside The Mind is perhaps the most creative house that USS has ever executed. You will go deep inside the mind – quite literally, through some very vivid and abstract spaces, and the journey comes full circle at the close. Truly, a masterpiece.
Note: Due to special effects, there is a height requirement of 130cm at this attraction.

DEATH Mall
Decimated by a tragic structural failure, vengeful spirits haunt the halls and shops at DEATH Mall. Responsible for the collapse of Southpoint Mall is the owner, Stanley Hung, who stubbornly demanded the mall to be built within 6 months.
The ghostly inhabitants are on the attack at every turn – and some of them have been merged into Malice. Don’t let your guard down.
Watch your head as you walk through the rubble, and find your way out through a destroyed cinema.
Death Mall is certainly not lacking in scale or overall execution. The sets are very detailed and there are many special effects going on, but it didn’t feel as ‘wow’ as the other houses. Perhaps it tried to do too much.

Make The Cut
K/LL Entertainment is looking for the next Gore-Pop star, and you could be the ONE! Why not visit their offices and audition for Make The Cut?
This is Gore-Pop, not K-Pop. So your face might be too plain for photos.
You’ll find out what it takes to be on top of the G-Pop game.
Seems like you either fight your way up, or you get cut.
Don’t anger the Queen Bee, Raven – leader of the Slit Face Girls.
As this house is quite compact, so expect scares in your face, and smart use of misdirection. The rooms are brighter than the rest, so you get to oogle at the beautiful and dashing starlets who did not have what it takes to topple the Slit Face Girls.

Scare zones are open, dynamic walkthrough areas where performers and guests may roam freely.
Pilgrimage of Sin
What is the true evil driving the 7 Sinisters? The Pilgrimage of Sin might hold the answer.
It is absolutely dreadful and full of suffering in this unsettling scare zone.
Pilgrimage of Sin feels a lot like Demoncracy (2014), which had an incredible atmosphere of danger and destruction. This year’s take has a very gloomy, bloody, and graphic turn. The Deadlier Sins are real, and the remaining humans are clearly unhinged – and you’ll see some stellar scare-acting here.

Happy Horror Days
Happy Holidays Horror Days! The perverse Father Time has stopped the clock, twisting joyful occasions into dreadful events.
My, oh my.
Since there are seven horror-days here, they are quite dispersed because we don’t need a further mixup.
If you love taking photos – this is the place! The zone is filled with bright, colourful lights and there are many characters in strange costumes for that memorable ‘gram.

Zombie Laser Tag
At this ‘VIP’ Zombie Survival Experience, you’ll team up with 3 other friends to battle zombies amid an outbreak. This attraction is not included in HHN7 Admission, or RIP Tour. An additional fee is required for this experience.
During every laser tag game session, up to 4 guests will be in the game area at any time. It feels like being thrown into the ‘Left 4 Dead’ video game – for real.
The team leader will be given an extra challenge at one area. Choose your leader wisely!
There are numerous zombies to fend off in the game area, but usually the first player encountering them will score all the hits. Was it a cool experience? Yes – Even the mission briefing was well-themed. Perhaps next year the park will build on this and have larger play areas, or enhance the gameplay so that all 4 players will get to hit more zombies.

Review: HHN7 Shows
Slice of Life Tour
The Slit Face Girls from Make The Cut haunted house have arrived at the Hollywood Stage for their Slice of Life World Tour!
It’s a short show, but at least you’ll get to meet the G-Pop trio and learn more about them. And of course, something dramatic happens.
The park was able to pull off a decent show that not only felt like it was a mini concert, but it had some decent original songs written and performed.

Laboratorium show
This is an all-new, original show starring Dr. White, a very reputable plague doctor – or is he?
Throughout the show, Dr. White will attempt to find a cure for the plague, with unexpected results.
While nobody can top Jack, Dr. White’s mischief is almost as bad as that crazy clown. This 25-minute spectacle will feature some superhuman acts (no thanks to the Doctor’s hapless treatments), so you’ll definitely not want to miss this.

how do you make sure you’re in the first row of the scaremony? and what time do you recommend reaching the USS gates to be the first in line?
The park gates for day operations close at 6pm. After you can start queuing up for night entry. In past years, the park will start admitting guests for HHN from 7pm. Thereafter, it’s a mad dash to the front.
As this year’s opening scaremony has a new format where the street would be split for the red carpet. I will include tips (if any) in the survival guide post which will be published later this weekend.

how did you get to take pictures in the houses?
Also, how are you so good at taking pics that the bright lights dont cause light auras to appear in dark places ?
The one who invented the G-Pop haunted house can simply jump down from a flat. Waited 90mins for that crap. Really a waste of time.
The dark truth is that the creator of G-pop really did jump down from a high building as a suicide attempt.
