Halloween Horror Nights 12 RIP Tour

Join the Halloween Horror Nights RIP Tour to enjoy a guided tour around the park’s horror attractions, including VIP access to all 4 haunted houses. This year, in place of a dining experience, the 2024 RIP Tour package includes access to Viper Lounge, with the flexibility of redeeming refreshments at the speakeasy bar using meal vouchers included in the package.

HHN12 RIP Tour Review

This year’s tour is about 3.5 hours long, and the programme includes all 4 haunted houses, 3 scare zones, Dark Dreams show, and the Special Experience. As for the other two shows, due to the tour programme and shows’ schedule, I did not manage to catch them during the tour. There were other opportunities to do so after the guided tour, with the exception of Ocu.lar’s Rave, as it clashed with Dark Dreams.

RIP Tours are usually the best way to experience what the event has to offer with the most comfort. This year, the programme offered more flexibility: There are 3 time slots (6PM, 7:15PM, 7:45PM), each with its own pros and cons. Viper Lounge Special Experience is part of the tour programme as a short preview, but you can revisit for the complete show experience after the tour. The S$25 meal voucher can be used in smaller denominations anytime during your time inside Universal Studios Singapore.

Is the HHN12 RIP Tour worth it? Well, the RIP Tour Package is cheaper this year than before (from S$349 in 2023, and S$288 in 2022) mainly because the Viper Lounge replaced the dinner entertainment experience.

With the revised HHN12 line-up this year, most guests should be able to easily experience most offerings on their own with a regular ticket. The HHN12 Frights For Four package offering Early Entry perk, some guests can already experience two houses before the event officially opens for the general audience (ahead of RIP Tour guests), making it easy to complete all four houses early, and the rest of the event highlights leisurely. HHN Express Passes might not even be necessary on some nights.

Ultimately, the RIP Tour Package still remains the best option for those willing to spend a bit more for a fuss-free and pleasant experience, with VIP access to all attractions, and unlimited access to Viper Lounge, and haunted houses via the Universal Express lane after the tour. The unlimited Express entitlement is also not available for purchase separately.

The RIP Tour Guide

Meet your group’s surgeon, the RIP Tour Guide for the night when you arrive at the VIP Reception to complete the check-in process. Each tour group (of up to 12 guests) will have its own guide who will take you through the Dream Reaper’s world of nightmares.

Along the way, your guide will also share fun facts about the Universal Studios theme parks and other Horror Nights events. You might also catch some interesting interactions throughout the night.

HHN12 Exclusive RIP Tour Lanyard and Credential

You will also receive the HHN12 RIP Lanyard and Credential, which is a collectible for HHN fans. The 2024 RIP Tour lanyard is themed to the Cursed Scrolls: Dynasty of Darkness haunted house, and features ScrollMaster, JiangShi, and The Bride.

This year’s RIP credential has an image of a stylised RIP Tour guide. The card is made of a new waterproof and tearproof material that’s less likely to be damaged during your horrifying night at the park.

HHN12 Opening Moment show (Front Viewing Area)

For guests that selected the 7:15PM Tour

RIP Tour guests can enjoy the Opening Moment show from a VIP viewing area. After the show ends, you can depart without rushing, as the rope for regular guests will only drop after the VIP area has been cleared.

VIP Access to Haunted Houses and Attractions

Enjoy front-of-the-line VIP access to haunted houses and attractions during the tour, via shortcuts closed to all other guests. This drastically reduces waiting time and walking, and you can quickly experience key event offerings in about 3 hours.

During the tour, your RIP Guide will also explain the stories of all the haunted houses and scare zones, along with other cool facts about Universal Studios Singapore and its attractions.

Access to Viper Lounge

As an RIP guest, you have unlimited access to this exclusive speakeasy bar run by elite vampires. The tour package includes S$25 worth of meal vouchers that can be redeemed at Viper Lounge for a set of two canapés and a drink. You can also order other refreshments from the restaurant’s Halloween menu.

Early Access to the park for dinner

For guests that selected the 6:00PM Tour

The earlier tour groups can enter the park from 6PM to enjoy dinner in restaurants such as Loui’s. Choose from available Halloween-themed food and drinks (at own expense), and you can spend the meal vouchers included in your package here as well.

Reserved Seating Area at Pantages Hollywood Theater

RIP Tour guests can enjoy the Dark Dreams show from a reserved seating area, which is unavailable to other guests during popular show times.

This is the second middle section which offers unobstructed full view of the entire stage, plus acts that extend beyond the stage. You are also “safe” from being targetted by the Dream Reaper, and they do not walk into this area (yet…)

Halloween Horror Nights Express Unlimited

Relive the thrills and horrors over and over again with the Halloween Horror Nights Express Unlimited wristband, which offers unlimited use of the Universal Express Lane at participating attractions. This privilege is not sold at the park, as HHN Express Passes are good for one use at each attraction*.

*All formats of HHN Express Passes are not valid for use at front row of Battlestar Galactica HUMAN vs CYLON and Treasure Hunters

With this entitlement, you will avoid long waiting time in the regular queues that can look like this.

Private Meet and Greet with an HHN12 Character

During your tour, you will visit the Pantages Hollywood Theater Foyer for a private Meet and Greet. This year, RIP Tour guests will also get a 6R printed photo as part of their package. Pick up your photo at The Dark Room retail store.

Apart from this venue, you can also meet other characters at the Hollywood stage. Photos taken here are not eligible for the free 6R photo print as part of the RIP Tour package.
