Halloween Horror Nights 3 Auditions

Halloween Horror Nights, the hallmark Halloween event at Universal Studios Singapore will be back in 2013! This is of course, my favourite park event (and I’ve always wished the park would be in Halloween mode all year…)

Universal Studios Singapore is looking for talents – and lots of them. A strong cast of scare-actors are needed to fill the scare zones and mazes each year, and of course, the park always try to outdo what they have done before.

Scare-actors?
Scare-actors form the cast at Halloween Horror Nights events. They perform in scare zones (outdoor) and mazes (indoor) while wearing character costumes, make-up and/or masks. This is an energy-demanding role, with work hours from the evening till late (1AM~2AM) each night. Of course, scare-actors don’t work throughout the entire night. Each “role”, or character is performed by a few cast members, so they perform in sets (no longer than an hour) and rotate among themselves.

Obviously, being a scare-actor in Halloween Horror Nights also demands the total absence of any fear of darkness, (fake) blood, claustrophobic environments or frightening imagery.

Feel free to refer to all my blog entries on Halloween Horror Nights in 2011 and 2012. I tried to be as descriptive as possible, so the posts vividly narrate what past HHN events were all about. They also give potential scare-actors a feel of the HHN atmosphere, character costuming and make-up. The videos from 2012 feature several scare-actors deeply in character while roaming around scare zones.

And of course, if you are a scare-actor this year, you may be featured in this year’s photos and videos!

– This is a walk-in audition
– No prior experience is required
– Applicants should be at least 18 years old
– Only Singapore citizens, Singapore permanent residents, foreigners with valid student/work holiday pass may apply for the HHN3 audition
