The most thrilling season of the year is back! Here is the ultimate guide to all the Halloween haunts, events and parties in Singapore – all for an heart-pumping, fear-filled October!
Halloween Horror Nights 3 (HHN3) will fill Universal Studios Singapore with tormenting haunted houses and unsettling scare zones. The three deadly witches, reunited as vengeful sisters, are this year’s unique Halloween Horror Nights icons.
With a major collaboration with GTH, Sentosa Spooktacular is bringing hauntingly popular Thai horror films to life at the Fort Siloso. Witness the return of evil spirits, malicious curses and other disturbing scenes, right out of the films!
There are also smaller Halloween haunts and themed parties, which will be added to this guide when announced.

Halloween Horror Nights 3
With two highly successful years, Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) is back again with a longer season of 10 nights and extended hours from 7PM to 1AM. The park promises nights of harrowing misadventures and fear-stricken experiences with three haunted houses and three scare zones. Instead of a key mastermind and partner icons, this year a triple threat of three vengeful witches will take over the park at night: Daughter of Undead, Maiden of the Opera and Crone of the Forest.

hi, can I know if unisim students will also be entitled to the student rate for the horror night upon shoing their student cArd??
As long as you have a valid student ID, you can buy Halloween Horror Nights 3 tickets at the student discount.
Hi, it says the event hour is 7pm – 1am.. does that mean we need to be there 7pm sharp? or we can go in even after 7pm? It will be my first time to try this event. Would really appreciate your response.
Thanks.
Hi Katrina,
For Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights 3, the park will open only from 7pm, so you can go into the park anytime after that.
Hey Dejiki,
Do you foresee long waiting time for the Express queue with the Universal Express Unlimited Pass available for purchase?
Thanks,
Bobby
It is hard to say. However, because the way USS operates express queue (an arbitrary alternating-group technique) is different from capacity-allocation concepts like Disney’s Fastpass, it is very likely that the normal queue will be most affected by the Unlimited Pass product, and not the express lane.
Hello!
Just wanted some ticket advice.
I’m planning on visiting the park in Oct. and I wanted to do HHN3 as well as the park. What tickets should I buy?
– I want the most time as I could possibly have in the regular theme park, but I know it closes early on the days when there is HHN3.
-Would it make sense to get the discounted ticket for people who are already in the park and just want to stay later for HHN3?
– IS HHN3 only on Fri/Sat, and all the other weekdays it’s regular park hours?
-Should I just go to USS on the weekday like I originally planned, then buy a separate ticket for HHN3?
Whats your best advice? Awesome blog btw, very helpful!!!
Thanks!
Hi Kesia,
– Getting a Stay and Scream ticket is cheaper. However, you have to make sure that you have enough energy to last through a full day (10AM-1AM next day) at the park.
– Yes, during other days (some Sundays and other weekdays), the park is open from 10AM-7PM.
– If you want to have a more manageable and relaxing time at the parks, I would suggest going to HHN3 on a different night. Having everything on one day is very exhausting.
Hi Dejiki!
Thank you for your guide! I will be visiting Singapore on October 31st to Nov 3rd, I was planning o go to halloween horror nights on November 1st.
-Should I wait to buy the stay and scream pass or do you think the event could get fully booked?
-I am still looking for affordable hotels around and Sentosa is very expensive compared to the hotels in Singapore. I am concerned though with the transport to get back to the main city after the event is over. Do you know what is the best way to go back to Singapore afterwards?
Thank you so much!!!
Hello! May I know under 13 years old can go for the Halloween? Cuz there stated it was unsuitable for child age under 13. So I wanted to know whether age under 13 can go or cannot go. 🙂
Hi Aeris,
If you’re talking about Halloween Horror Nights 3 at Universal Studios Singapore:
Due to the intensely frightening atmosphere in the park and its attractions, the park recommends that children under 13 should not attend. However, they do not restrict young guests from attending. Adult supervision is strongly advised.
Hi Dejiki!
Do you think tickets will be sold out for the nights of November 1st or 2nd. I want to buy in the park the stay and scream extension because its cheaper but at the same time I am afraid that if I wait until them, the event may be fully booked.
Any advice on this please?
Hi Anton,
Unfortunately there is no way to predict if a particular night would be sold out. To be safe, I’d advise that you buy Event Night tickets separately so that admission to HHN3 will be guaranteed.
Let me know if there are children’s Halloween parties available in 2013
Thanks
Hi Samantha,
You can take a look at the “less intense events” section towards the lower half of the events listing. The two events at Downtown East and Asian Civilizations Museum (ACM) cater to teenagers and children (but may still be scary for young children). I would suggest checking the one at ACM out.
Thanks for the shout out on the Singapore Zombie Walk! We’ll be releasing more details on the event in the coming weeks, especially about our giveaways and the festival that will be held at The Cathay in conjunction with the walk. =)
hi dejiki
when u b gg for the HHN3 tis yr? hoping to hear from yr review so i can plan my route.. hve booked ticket on 19 oct. but worried of the crowd. thank you.
Hi Smurftie,
My review and guide posts will be up sometime after the first weekend (11 and 12 October).
Hey Dejiki,
I’ll be going on the 19th too so will eagerly wait for your reviews 🙂
hi dejiki
Great. Shall keep a look out for it. Thank you. 🙂
how old must you be to go?
Which event are you referring to?
Hi Dejiki,
Thanks for the effort to put all the information together! It’s really useful!
Just one question on the Spooktacular:
There is one category of ticket under ” 5 Haunted Trails: $48
Tickets are available at $36 as an early bird promotion (applicable from 1 to 15 October 2012, or until 30 percent of tickets are sold).”
What does this means? We have chance to get a even cheaper ticket that covers all 5 locations from 1-15 oct?
Appreciate your clarification!
Hi Junnie,
My Apologies, but that promotion was from 2012 and was accidentally included in this post. Right now the early bird promotion price is $56.60 (Promotion valid till 15 October).
Hi Dejiki,
Thanks for all the information!
Just one query. I previously joined as a RWS member and they gave me 2 passes. I used one and am currently holding on to the other normal one day pass. The pass only expires JAN next year. Can i upgrade this normal day pass to a Halloween Horror Night 3 pass? Or must I buy another separate pass to go for the event?
Hi Joe,
Unless the rules have changed, that pass cannot be directly upgraded into a Halloween Horror Nights 3 event ticket. If you use it to visit the park during the day (when HHN3 is held later that night), I believe you can then top-up for the Stay-and-Scream option. It’ll be best to contact RWS Invites directly as sometimes they might bend the rules. 🙂
Hi, i’m new to this event therefor not quite sure what i’m expecting from this event. but it sure sound interesting so I bought the ticket with my student id anyway. Questions are: should i bring along my student id when entering the HHN3. Or is it already a different ticket with the regular one..? And do we just wandering in the park by walking even inside the haunted house? And also we can ride some of the ride from uss? Many Thx for replying me.
Hi Ellis,
The HHN3 tickets you bought can only be used to enter the park during HHN3 event nights. Student ID will not be checked at the park entrance.
Halloween Horror Nights is a special night-time event that takes place in the park. There are few things to take note of:
– Three areas of the park are converted into scare zones, where you can experience themed open areas. You can freely walk around these areas.
– Three haunted houses are available at the park – these are enclosed “houses” with a specific route to walk around. You will need to wait in line for your turn to enter these houses.
– Certain rides and shows (that are available in the day) will also be open throughout the night.
Hi, thanks for replying.
What is the different between scare zones and haunted house? And will the souvenir shops also open during HHN3? Will they sell the halloween souvenir as well?. Planning to get both halloween souvenir and uss souvenir too. Thx
Hi Ellis,
Scare zones are open spaces that you can walk around freely – they are basically built around the outdoor streets and spaces of the park. Haunted Houses are enclosed attractions where only a limited number of people may enter at a time (hence you will need to queue). It is an intense walkthrough attraction that takes place in very dark and cramped spaces. You will only be able to walk in one direction through a Haunted House (start to end).
Yes, HHN items will be sold around the park, along with USS merchandise.
Hi,
If I want to go to USS in the morning and HHH3 at night, I have to buy separate tickets, is it?
Yes, although you can purchase a day ticket first, then buy the “Stay and Scream” add-on when you are at the park for $50. It is cheaper than buying separately.
Hi, thanks for your website, it clarifies all the ticket pricing for USS halloween event. I gotta check with you though, how do you get to know the USS annual passholder ticket pricing? Because I searched on their website and I don’t see such promotion going on
Hi Vincci,
If you go to the HHN3 Ticketing Page (http://www.halloweenhorrornights.com.sg/tickets.php), you will see the USS Annual Passholder prices in the second category “Cardholder Specials”. USS Annual Passes are now consolidated under the RWS Attractions Annual / Season Pass programme.
I see, i’ve been searching at the rws website all this time! no wonder I couldn’t find it hahah. Thanks a lot! Btw just for your info, I received an email from rws yesterday, the student season passholders can get the student price at $50 on off-peak nights 😀
Hi Dejiki, bad news for student season passholders 🙁 they are considered as students and thus can’t purchase another 6 more tickets at membership price. Guess my friend will have to buy it at general public price $68 =\
Have you checked out the roadshow at Cineleisure? They are selling Student tickets for $50 each (open-dated for any off-peak nights), but I’m not sure about purchase limits.
Yes, I am aware of the roadshow at cineleisure. Unfortunately I can only buy it for myself. What I wanted was to get 2 tickets @$50 but they only allowed me to get one (my friend isn’t a student anymore)
Hi (again) dejiki,
Do you know how many minutes will it be inside each haunted house? And i assume that we will enter in group ,right? how many people in a group, will it be just our group(of 5-6 people) or will we be group with others to reach maximum number?
Hi Ellis,
The park crew will try to regulate the flow of guests into Haunted Houses in the most optimal way possible. It is flexible and dynamic, sometimes they divide and release guests in small groups of 2~6 people, and sometimes they may also form a larger group of 10+ people. The average duration of each Haunted House experience is about 3 to 7 minutes – it is entirely dependent on your own walking speed and the other guests inside the haunted house.
May I know if shops will be open during the Halloween night at USS?
Hi Kityee,
Yes, some shops are open in the park during HHN3. Every zone, EXCEPT The Lost World / Jurassic Park, has a shop open throughout the night.
Do you know whether the Celebrity Cafe and Bakery will be open?
Hi Dejiki,
I’m not Singapore residence and would like to go to HHN3 in USS.
What I wanna ask is, how about the public transport from Sentosa to Singapore downtown after 1am?
Regards,
Antho
Hi Antho,
After 1AM, your options would be to take a taxi out or a NightRider bus service. NR1 and NR6 are available from the RWS Bus Stops. Check the bus service pages here for the bus routes:
http://www.transitlink.com.sg/eservice/eguide/service_route.php?service=NR1
http://www.transitlink.com.sg/eservice/eguide/service_route.php?service=NR6
Thank you Dejiki for the answer 🙂
