Visit an imagination of a Midden Eastern Paradise on Earth at Gardens by the Bay‘s newest Floral Display: Persian Garden.
After three stops in Europe, the Flower Field at Gardens by the Bay is refreshed again. It is now in the Middle Eastern leg of its World tour.
Divided into several plots of interlocking geometric shapes, the field now has a fountain as a centerpiece.
The Outer Ring behind the Flower Field has a few bountiful table settings. Several decorative dishes, sparkling with colour, adorn the fields.
Unfortunately, this section is still not directly accessible, so the flowers and props can’t be appreciated up close.
The Inner Ring has several decorative archways – perfect backdrops for beautiful photos!
Although they are nowhere as opulent as the real deal (with rich, hand-set tiles), these 2D replicas are printed with so much detail and colour.
Tall vases, in rich shades of blue, lend some colour pop from the flowers.
A Persian Garden is often divide into sections representing the sky, earth, water and plants.
The fountain, as water, forms the heart of the garden. While not as grand or striking as the past few floral displays, the Persian Garden instead attempts to embrace harmony and serenity. After all, it is meant to be a paradise.
Here’s the new trail map for Persian Garden, which not only focuses on the floral display, but some of the permanent gardens in the Flower Dome. Be sure to grab it from the ticketing booths!
Persian Garden is on display at the Flower Dome, from now till 3 August 2014. After this season, Gardens by the Bay will be hosting the Singapore Garden Festival (SGF) 2014.
