Gardens by the Bay – Merry Medley

Celebrate the holidays with a walk around the charming Merry Medley floral display at Gardens by the Bay!

Gardens by the Bay invited us for an exclusive after-hours tour of the Merry Medley floral display a few weeks ago. Along with other bloggers, we had the whole flower dome to ourselves, which was useful to capture the beauty of this year’s floral display.

It’s a less cartoon version of last year’s Christmas Toyland, with more traditional elements – guess we have to say goodbye to the Gardens’ resident bears for a while.

With less dramatic Luminarie lights around the central Flower Field, it lets this year’s display shine – there’s more lights too.

There are lots of Luminarie sculptures outside in the Winter Wonderland. But if you like to see the lights within the dome, there’s a magnificent array right at the entrance.

The biggest difference this year (quite literally) would be the addition of Noble Fir trees, many of which surround the path of the Flower Field.

Many traditional elements are making a comeback.

The Flower Dome is open until 9pm on most nights. Why don’t you make a visit in the evening to enjoy the beautiful lights?

Admission charges apply for the Flower Dome. Local residents with Christmas Wonderland (outdoor event) tickets will enjoy $4 off the local admission rate for Double Conservatories tickets (Flower Dome and Cloud Forest) till 5 January 2017.
