Tulipmania 2025 Photo Tour
A hot air balloon photo op returns to the upper level of the Flower Dome. Of course, the main attraction is at the Flower Field, where you can find the Trojan Horse as the centerpiece.
Recalling the legendary tale, Greek soldiers hid inside this wooden horse, meant to be a tribute, and infiltrated the city, a pivotal move in the Battle of Troy. Completing the display is a battleship, a reminder of the forces that sailed to the ancient city.
The ship’s mast was unfurled during the Launch Ceremony of Tulipmania 2025.
And here’s a rare overview of the Flower Field, without the crowds.
At nearly 6 metres tall, Trojan Horse would likely be a popular photo spot, and you can also walk underneath it.
At the back of the Flower Field is a mini reproduction of Göbekli Tepe. The original temple was built by an ancient civilization around 12,000 years ago in southeastern Türkiye’s Tektek Mountains.
The pillars’ carvings depict animals, believed to symbolise protective totems or ancestral spirits. This section of the floral display also forms a shortcut between the front and back of the Flower Field.
You can also marvel at some mosaic art along the way – these works were created by a group of 24 students from Chua Chu Kang Secondary School’s art club.
At the back of the Flower Field lies the Pool of Abraham. This site in Türkiye is associated with the story of Abraham being saved from a fire, which miraculously turned to water. The pool reproduced here is accompanied with golden fish.
Continue your journey and walk into a replica of Mardin’s Stone Houses. The beige limestone houses on the mountainside in Mardin, is one of Türkiye’s popular destinations.
Despite their medieval origins, these homes were designed in such a way that no house blocks the view of another. Engineered to withstand the harsh climate, these structures have endured for thousands of years. The interiors of Gardens by the Bay houses are also filled with handcrafted items.
Of course, the blooms are the highlight of any floral display and this year there will be over 30 varieties of tulips of diverse colours on display. During the opening weekend, some are already in bloom.
Tulipa ‘Claudia’
Tulipa ‘Flashback’
Tulipa ‘Red Princess’
Tulipa ‘Tiramisu’
Two other areas of the display showcase Kilim, traditonal woven rugs from Türkiye, which would likely be popular photo spots.
The elegant Turkish Tulip plates also make a return in one part of the display. Along with other art and artifacts to be found along the way to the exit of the Flower Dome.
Jurassic World: The Experience coming to Cloud Forest in May 2025
On 1 April 2025, Gardens by the Bay, NEON and Universal Live Entertainment announced Singapore’s Jurassic World: The Experience, opening at Cloud Forest in May 2025.
This is not a replica of the other “Jurassic World: The Experience” in Bangkok. Similar to Avatar: The Experience (2022), it will be an extensive overlay across a few areas of the Cloud Forest. You can expect life-sized dinosaurs – both animatronic and sculptures – to emerge from the lush foliage. New thematic zones and immersive experiences will also be created, with the Evolution Walk experience announced so far. Here, visitors can go back in time to learn about ancient plant species that existed long before the emergence of those that bear flowers.
Dinosaurs confirmed to appear include the Brachiosaurus (Cloud Forest Waterfalls), Velociraptors and Pteranodon (near Orchid Haven) and the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Ticketing information for Jurassic World: The Experience at Gardens by the Bay will be announced soon.
Meanwhile, some sections of Cloud Forest will be closed in preparation for the Jurassic World: The Experience:
10 Apr – 28 May 2025: Cloud Forest Gallery
30 Apr – 28 May 2025: Cloud Forest Theatre
2 – 28 May 2025: Orchid Haven
