Experience dazzling sights of Christmas Wonderland as Singapore’s largest yuletide fair returns to Gardens by the Bay this festive season.
Twice as large as last year’s event, Christmas Wonderland comprises four areas this year, the Christmas Toyland floral display at Flower Dome, Luminarie light sculptures all around the Gardens, Festive Market at Supertree Grove, and The Fairground near the Meadow.
Christmas Toyland floral display
With a theme of toys, this year’s floral display is rather modest, with the only memorable feature being the 11-metre tall pyramid inspired by German wooden carousel.

On certain days, certain elements of the carousel are removed to transform it into a stage for performances. Check the schedule on Gardens by the Bay’s website – you might want to plan your visit to catch a show.
The Fairground
Located closer to the Meadow side of the Gardens, the Fairground brings a few traditional rides and games. Some attractions are at the Supertree Grove area.
It’s like a 10 minute stroll from the Flower Dome. Why not hop on a train? (Charges apply)
What a rare sight to see these vintage-looking attractions at the Gardens, huh? It’s not like Uncle Ringo.
All rides and games run on a token system, which can be purchased at the event site.

Helter Skelter (14m-tall slide) – $8 per ride.
Carousel – $10 per ride.
7 game stalls can be found at the event site. Games start from $4.
Festive Market
Inside the Ice Palace, you can either skate at the Ice Skating Rink ($14 for 30 minutes) and or play at the Snow Playground ($12 for 30 minutes). Boots/skates are provided in the charge.
Gloves and socks are available at $2 a pair.
The Spiegeltent returns to the Gardens, with its festive dining menu designed byHarry’s. For $35, you can enjoy the weekend brunch menu which includes a main course and selections from a buffet.
Luminarie light sculptures
The real stars of Christmas Wonderland are the enchanting Luminarie lights. This year, the Spalliera – the largest sculpture, surrounds the Cassa Armonica gazebo.
It may not be the best place to experience the Garden Rhapsody Christmas Edition due to the obstructions, but you can take photos like this.
Beautiful, isn’t it?
And dazzling, with all the lights turned on. This year’s sculptures feature entirely new designs.
The colourful Luminaries are lit from 7pm to midnight daily.
