Tulipmania is finally back at Gardens by the Bay’s cooled conservatory, Flower Dome. Have a tour of this year’s display, which is inspired by the canals in the Netherlands.
※ Due to dynamic lighting conditions at the Flower Dome, the “look” of the photos in this entry varies. For those who are planning to visit for photography, I would suggest visiting on clear days, in the early afternoon. The flowers show most intense colours under direct sunlight.
Once you step into Flower Dome, some Gardens by the Bay staff members will be handing out Miffy Postcards (while stocks last). Treasure this little souvenir!
Check out this little town made from Miniature KLM Houses. These are gifts given away to World Business Class travellers on KLM.
This year’s floral arrangement, which splits different specimens and colours into rings, creates a different visual effect. It doesn’t have the same punch as last year’s long, parallel rows.
Though I must say the row at the back looks more impressive this year.
Particularly this section, which just feels magical.
Not all of the tulips have bloomed yet, but for those that did – the colours are spectacular.
In a nutshell: More varieties, less repetition. But limited space at the Flower Field means there won’t be nice big segments of colours.
Tulipmania is now on display till 4 May 2014. Senior Citizens (Local Residents) can enjoy 50% off admission tickets to Flower Dome during Tulipmania.
Miffy will be making an appearance at the Flower Dome on 20th April (timing varies) and 26th April (11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM).
