Check out highlights of Santa’s All-Star Christmas, this year’s Christmas Event at Universal Studios Singapore!
Santa’s All-Star Christmas – USS Christmas 2015 Event
[ Cover Image: A Scrooge Christmas Splendour ]Important Note on Christmas Shows
While the park hours are extended to 9pm throughout December, the full line-up of Christmas shows is available only on selected nights. You might want to plan your visit on a weekend, or during Christmas Week, if you wish to experience all that Santa’s All-Star Christmas has to offer. Thanks Carlo, for letting us know about this.
The park’s regular attractions will remain open until 9pm.
A Hollywood Christmas Gift Show
Held at the Hollywood Stage, the Hollywood Christmas Gift Show is an update to Santa’s Toy Soldiers – Changing of the Guard.
Apart from the song and dance performed by the toy soldiers, three lucky park guests will be welcomed on stage to receive presents from Santa at the Hollywood Christmas Gift Show.
Without Santa’s supervision, the Toy Soldiers are generously giving away presents… but not all gifts are the same, and each of them offers some sort of surprise guest appearance in the show.
The Stage becomes a Photo-Op spot after the show.
Overall it’s a decent show that will delight guests who love Minions, Penguins from Madagascar and Marilyn Monroe…as they are the special guests! The sound system at Hollywood is unfortunately not ideal here, especially if you’re not right in front of the stage.
Fairytale Remix Show
An all-new show performed at the New York Library stage, Fairytale Remix mashes up several stories together.
All was well and peaceful at the North Pole, until the Delivery guy appears and disrupts Mrs Claus.
The Little Match Girl, Shoemaker, and Snow Queen gets their lives changed through whimsical rewrites suggested by the Delivery guy.
Without the Christmas Tree on the stage, the New York Library becomes a huge canvas for beautiful projection mapping effects.
I’d say Fairytale Remix is the strongest new show in this year’s line-up. It has the same lighthearted, fun vibe as this year’s Royal Lunch at Eggingham Gardens show.
The park should develop it further and bring it to Pantage’s next year! They can easily add/drop characters – well, they already have.
After the show, get your cameras ready for photos with the show’s characters. Three lines – one for the main cast, and two other lines for Frosty the Snowman and the Giant Gingerbread Man.
A Scrooge Christmas Splendour
Recreating some sort of 19th Century England… within New York’s Sting Alley, A Scrooge Christmas Splendour brings A Christmas Carol experience to the park.
This area is used during Halloween Horror Nights for scare zones. You might recall ConTERMINATED from this year.
The park is trying something new here for Christmas, through soundscapes and a walkthrough experience. That’s like a scare zone, except… you won’t be startled.
Soundscapes here are interesting, because they don’t just switch on the sound. From the afternoon, the bustle of the New York alley eventually blends into a London town.
The zone comes to life during event hours (subject to change as the park adjusts and refines the experience).
You’ve got people working in the markets. Street urchins…
Market sellers,
and some nice people giving out candy to kids.
It’s a bit confusing at first, because not all guests are aware what’s going on here.
Mr. Scrooge might be able to clear things up.
But he isn’t that nice, or fair. Better get out of his way!
As costumed performers, many guests are eager to take photos with the characters. But the best part of this zone is to watch how the characters interact with each other.
But here’s a tip. Don’t try to trade candy for fish.
Will Scrooge become nicer? What else did you notice here?

Park Opening Hours for December
December
As part of Santa’s All-Star Christmas, Universal Studios Singapore will be open from 10:00am till 9:00pm daily from 1st December 2015 till 3rd January 2016. Except on 31st December as there’ll be the countdown event then.
Update on Universal Express lane at Canopy Flyer and Treasure Hunters
Bad news for park guests who like to maximise their Universal Express passes. These passes can no longer be used at Canopy Flyer and Treasure Hunters, because the lanes were removed.
There is still Single Rider available at Canopy Flyer. But for Treasure Hunters, it’ll just be one regular line.
Why the change after five years? Well, there could be many reasons. These rides are popular, but have very low guest capacity.
Photos from around the Park
What do you think of this year’s Christmas park decor at Hollywood and New York?
Without the giant Christmas Tree in the way, this year’s multimedia shows at the New York Library look far better! Don’t miss the Dancing Christmas Lights and Winter Tales shows here.
This year’s tree is a stack of (glowing) presents, placed above the park’s fountain.
Back in town: Sesame Street Saves Christmas!
The Universal Store display this season: Sesame Street Christmas, too.
If you’re a big spender at the park, you can grab another present with a minimum spend of $300. You can combine up to 3 receipts from retail stores.
New Minions (closer to ‘proper’ size) have appeared at the Minion Mart. The Giant Minion has shifted to the other side of Minion Mart, beside Pantage’s Hollywood Theatre.
And now, we’re back at the park’s entrance. This year’s Christmas arch is quite pretty, huh?
There are cute figurines at each side of the arch, and they’re characters in Santa’s All-Star Christmas!
There’s one show we didn’t feature in this post yet: Mels Rockin’ Christmas, performed by both Mel’s Dinettes and The Cruisers.
Was there last weekend, enjoyed the shows! The Scrooge Christmas caught us offguard though, wasn’t expecting actors there. Paiseh didn’t know how to respond to their cheery greetings and offers to buy fish lol
Love the pics (as always) 🙂 🙂 🙂
I love this Christmas event especially Sting Alley! It was very well done. Great post, Dejiki! The top photo is fantastic. Looks like Scrooge is giving her a penny.
By the way, I notice there is one woman called Angel or something like that. She seems to be there everyday videotaping almost every single show — whether it is the Cruisers, Dinettes, Rockafellas etc. Her videos are all over YouTube. And they are repetitions of the same thing — same song, same act. I mean it’s fine to put up videos but EVERYDAY? Isn’t this considered spamming?
This totally cheapens the image of Universal Studios Singapore. Talk about the KIASU Singaporean. Can the director of USS do something about it please?
Hi there, I think you might have left out Mels Rocking Christmas performing at Mels Stage in the afternoon! 🙂
As mentioned in the post, we will revisit the park again for this. 🙂
Oops I think I missed that line. Thanks anyway! 🙂
Hi, does jurassic park open earlier than the usual 11am for the month of december? I’ve noticed that they do open earlier the previous time i was there, but im not sure. Thanks in advance.
