TRICK or THRILLS 2026: Belloween Ball and all Halloween Meet and Greets at Universal Studios Singapore, Waterworld Reopens

Spend a spooky fun day at Universal Studios Singapore’s TRICK or THRILLS 2026 Day Halloween event, where the Belloween Ball brings a monstrous new addition to USS, while another fabled legend arrives at Ancient Egypt, among many exciting experiences. The season also marks the highly anticipated return of Waterworld.

TRICK or THRILLS 2026 Day Halloween Event

Universal Studios Singapore’s 2026 Day Halloween event, Trick or Thrills 2026, runs from 1 Sept to 1 Nov 2026. Trick or Thrills is included with regular admission to Universal Studios Singapore, so no separate event ticket is required. With a regular day ticket, you can catch the new the Belloween Ball show and meet a refreshed line-up of characters and costumes around the park.

NEW SHOW: Belloween Ball at TRICK or THRILLS 2026

It’s Belloween Time! This new show takes over the Hollywood stage that hosted Conjuring Chaos during the Minions summer event, putting it back to work for Halloween. Of course, at night, this is also the same place where the HHN14 Scaremony will unleash another kind of chaos…

Anyway, Belloween Ball marks the debut of the Bride of Monster Bob at Universal Studios Singapore – a Minion-scale riff on the Bride of Frankenstein that pairs her with Monster Bob, the bolt-necked little creation who has become the face of the Minion Monsters.

But how did this debut even happen? Well, we first start off with the Minion Monsters marching down to the ball…

which is hosted by Bello Na Na, who’s wearing a skeleton costume.

After a catchy dance number, everyone quickly realises that Kevin arrived without a costume – wearing just work overalls!

As the minion goes backstage to find a costume, the spotlight switched to the audience – they’re now searching for the best dressed!

With the best dressed on stage, it’s time to learn the dance moves for the Belloween Ball!

And also, unveiling the newest addition to Singapore’s Minion Monsters family… Bride of Monster Bob!

Her entrance is the moment the show is built around. The music drops the Halloween score entirely and switches to Blackpink’s How You Like That, and the Bride makes her way out to it with full confidence – much to Monster Bob (or Franken Bob) and The Mummy’s furore.

Everyone is happily dancing, and it is time for group photos to celebrate another successful Belloween Ball.

Candy grabs too, if you like.

The show runs about 10 minutes, and is followed by a short group photo opportunity of a few minutes. At least for the first day, this is not a queued meet and greet, so you cannot line up for an individual photo with the characters.

If a picture with the Bride is what you came for, check with the park crew before the show begins for the best spot to enjoy the show. You may not stand in the middle of the street from the start, because the Minion Monsters will walk down Hollywood street to the stage.

Minion Land during Trick or Thrills

Highlights for Halloween Meet and Greets at Minion Land – First up is the Despicable Me Family Halloween Portrait, where you can find Gru, Lucy, Margo, Agnes and Edith all together.

A mischievous evil Minion also appears separately on stage, which has new Minion-themed jack-o’-lanterns this year.

If you’re looking to just meet Gru’s Girls (Margo, Agnes and Edith), you can find them at the dancefloor inside the Minion Marketplace store, right at the exit of Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem. You do not need to experience the ride to meet them.

Meet and Greet experiences at TRICK or THRILLS 2026

Now that we’ve got all the Minions out of the way, let me say something about recent Meet and Greets. Typically, most Meet and Greet experiences are 20-minute windows, but depending on the weather and heat conditions, some may be cut short for comfort and safety reasons. Therefore, please always arrive on time and check with the park crew managing the queue. As long as you are accepted in the queue, you will get your turn.

Egyptian Legends at Ancient Egypt

Ancient Egypt gets the biggest rework of the line-up this year, and the whole trio performs on stilts. Leading them this year is Ammu’khet, the new arrival that the park describes only as “something ancient that has awakened”.

Ammu’khet’s look carries falcon styling throughout: a headdress with a gold brow band and inlaid eye, dramatic black eye paint and gold accents on face, and a pair of weathered golden wings.

Other Egyptian Legends rotating throughout the day are the Sorceress, returning with her iconic black and gold look, along with the Anubis Guard that has kept the land of Ancient Egypt safe… at least during the day, before the shifting sands transport you to the Necropolis.

If you’re lucky, you might even meet all three of them at the same time. Ask a crew member on site if you want to catch a specific character.

Fairy Godmother, Shrek and Fiona at Far Far Away

The Fairy Godmother from DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek makes her grand return this season as a roaming meet and greet in Far Far Away.

Most Meet and Greet interactions at USS are a few waves and poses. Not this one. The Fairy Godmother has stepped out of the films: quick, sharp, and perfectly willing to put a guest in their place with a smile. Ask her for something and you may well get a reply you were not prepared for.

Make time to actually find her, though a good spot would be to wait around the Fairy Godmother’s Potion Shop (of course!).

Shrek and Fiona were also out Trick or Treating in Far Far Away.

Kuromi at Hollywood

Sanrio’s Kuromi joins the park-wide line-up in a special Halloween getup.

This is one of the most popular Meet and Greet experiences – happening right outside the Sanrio Superstar Boutique.

Sesame Street at New York

Sesame Street friends meet at New York Library stage, and I saw The Count and Cookie Monster appear in their “castle” costumes, with the big screen at the back of the New York Library switching to Sesame Street visuals during their set.

This is also the stage for Nail The Beat show and other experiences at The Raveyard scare zone during Halloween Horror Nights 14.

Waterworld reopens at Universal Studios Singapore

One more reason to head to Universal Studios Singapore on the same day, though this one has nothing to do with Halloween.

Waterworld returned on 1 September 2026, its first day of operation after a lengthy closure. It is back as a regular, year-round show at The Lost World rather than a seasonal offering, and runs on an ongoing basis from here.

While the amphitheatre itself looks spruced up and the show audio sounds good – it’s the outside that looks very different. Like the bright red floor, and the entire queue area covered up. Wonder what’s happening inside.

As for the show – it still has all the iconic and action-packed moments that made the show famous.

Back to the reopening, it was brought forward from a previously indicated end date of December 2026.
