At night, Mediterranean Harbor comes alive. Rows of street lamps illuminate the streets and cast a soft warm glow on the rustic buildings. Park guests return to this port city, now a bustling marketplace, to shop and dine. Across the waters, Mount Prometheus lends a mysterious sight.

Tokyo DisneySea – Mediterranean Harbor
Mediterranean Harbor is the gateway to Tokyo DisneySea. Designed to resemble a seaport in Italy, the buildings in the area have design touches inspired by architecture from Portofino, Tuscany and Venice. This port city is filled with several shops and restaurants, but also uniquely integrates the world’s first and only themed hotel within a Disney park – the Tokyo DisneySea Hotel Miracosta.
Tokyo Disney Resort theme parks – Tips and Tricks

Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea are huge Disney theme parks, with a lot of rides, shows to enjoy and countless places to explore. A day at either park is often not enough to cover most, or even half of the attractions.
Both theme parks are crowded most days of the year, but during some holiday periods, things get really out of control. You need a game plan to maximize your time.
Tokyo Disney Resort – Getting There and Around
So you’ve finally landed in Japan. How do you get to Tokyo Disney Resort? Here is a photo report on how I got to the resort and traveled around the parks.
A trip to Tokyo Disney Resort
With the finest theming and some of the world’s best attractions, Tokyo Disney Resort has long earned its right of being the place “where dreams come true”. This magnificent resort is home to Tokyo Disneyland – modeled after the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World; and the world’s only Tokyo DisneySea – a unique Disney park based on nautical exploration themes.
Hong Kong Disneyland: Flights of Fantasy parade
It’s time for dreams and imagination to soar. With astounding floats, colourful costumes and joyous sounds, Flights of Fantasy parade is an uplifting spectacle that is guaranteed to delight park guests at Hong Kong Disneyland. This is Hong Kong Disneyland’s current regular day-time parade, and was first unveiled as part of the park’s 5th Anniversary campaign – “Celebration in the Air”.
The parade combines classic and new Disney characters, with many segments relevant to the park’s attractions. The seven parade floats are: Mickey’s Magical Airship, Caught Up in Daydreams (The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh), Romance Takes Wing (Disney Princesses), Jumpin’ Jungle Jam, The Magic of Pixie Dust (Tinker Bell), Hangin’ Ten and Ridin’ High (Lilo & Stitch), To Infinity and Beyond (Toy Story).
After the 5th Anniversary Celebration in the Air festivities, Flights of Fantasy continues to be performed daily at Hong Kong Disneyland. Elements referring to the 5th Anniversary (The number “5”) have been replaced with a “D” in Disney’s iconic typeface.
Flights of Fantasy feature vibrant and impressive floats – there are of course, an abundance of balloons, and balloon-like characters top off most of the floats. The parade also begins with a flying Dumbo (what else, really?) which is quickly accompanied with Mickey’s Airship. Everything is visually impactful – quite punchy colours and interesting forms.
Hong Kong Disneyland: Tomorrowland
We’ve finally arrived at Tomorrowland, a space port of the future.
Tomorrowland is a staple themed zone in all Magic Kingdom-style Disney parks around the world. It’s like Sci-Fi meets Fantasyland – a optimistic view of the future with a focus on space travel and exploration.
Due to time constraints, I wasn’t able to spend a lot of time in Tomorrowland during this trip. I’ve decided to share mostly photos of this area at night, where smooth streaks of lights circle around this futuristic port.
Hong Kong Disneyland: Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars
You’ve seen Grizzly Gulch in the previous update. Now let’s take a detailed tour around Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars, the feature attraction in this Old West town.
Hong Kong Disneyland: Grizzly Gulch
Founded on 8 August 1888 (the luckiest day of all time) by prospectors hoping to discover gold, Grizzly Gulch brings travelers to a bustling Wild West town filled with adventure and prosperity.
Hong Kong Disneyland: Fantasyland
Our journey around Hong Kong Disneyland continues. Welcome to Fantasyland.
Sleeping Beauty Castle marks the dramatic gateway to this land of enchanted tales. In the castle courtyard is a large open area – a cross between a quaint European village and medieval fair – where many gentle themed rides delight park guests with Disney’s classic stories.
