Key Highlights: The 11 Immersive Photo Zones and Installations
The Outdoor Giant Inflatables (Free Access)
Even before scanning your ticket to the Singapore Oceanarium, you are greeted by two massive 5m-tall inflatables along the way to the entrance. Look out for THE ANGLERFISH, a luminous guide whose glowing tears symbolize finding your own light, and THE PUFFERFISH, a spiky but gentle companion.
Inside Singapore Oceanarium
Step past the turnstiles to meet THE WHALESHARK, a large sculpture that officially marks the start of your CRYBABY experience inside the Singapore Oceanarium.
The CRYBABY photo zones within Singapore Oceanarium weave directly through major habitats, placing designer art toys right against a backdrop of thousands of marine species. Let’s go on a tour…
Once inside, right at Ocean Wonders, you will find THE MANTA RAY.
There’s also a photo wall beside the gigantic circular Kreisel tank full of sea jellies.
You won’t miss THE SHARK just beside the Jewel Of Muscat ship in the Spirit of Exploration zone.
Head down to Singapore’s Shores and you can find the life-sized (or right-sized) CRYBABY figurines hanging out naturally on the rocky landscape.
THE WHALE awaits you just before the Shark Seas tunnels.
Moving forward, you’ll find large photo backdrops to take photos with, near the Coral Garden area.
This is also great to show off your collectibles!
One of the displays here is also screening CRYBABY’s IG feed (lol).
The last big CRYBABY sculpture can be found once you step inside the Open Ocean Habitat. It’s THE JELLYFISH!
There’s another feature wall to see along your journey, right before the Shipwreck Tunnel. That’s all the CRYBABY overlays in the Singapore Oceanarium!
And towards the end, you can also experience the refreshed Hallway of Hope.
On the overall, this is a cute overlay similar to Hangyodon Marine Discovery last year with the photo spots, but without the F&B and retail element. That’s because POP MART has its own dedicated Pop-Up store at WEAVE, the lifestyle hub near the Oceanarium, and POP MART is expected to expand further into a larger duplex store with POP BAKERY.
If there were some other interactive elements like stamp rally or simple craft activities – it might made the experience more exciting. Nonetheless, there is no separate upcharge from standard admission to see the sculptures, so the overlay is more of a plus – especially if you are a CRYBABY fan.
WEAVE Pop-Up Store: Exclusive CRYBABY Overlay
After your walkthrough, you can head to the POP MART Pop-Up store at WEAVE, which currently has a dedicated CRYBABY-themed overlay.
The store is also stocked with the complete “Cry Me an Ocean” collection, plus exclusive gifts with purchase hitting a minimum spend.
Spending S$38 gets you a sticker set, while S$98 gets you the bandana.
The picnic mat (shown unfolded above) is given for spends above $208!
Also, if you present your same-day Singapore Oceanarium ticket and spend a minimum of S$128 at the pop-up store, you will receive an exclusive CRYBABY Cry Me an Ocean Eyemask for free (while stocks last)!
