Jurassic World: Explore & Roar park event
Finally, a Jurassic World themed event at USS, happening from 2 June to 22 August 2018!
All these seasonal events at USS are getting more elaborate. Can you spot those flying Pteranodons?
Headlining this event is an all-new action show at Hollywood called Jurassic World: ROAR. As John Hammond would say, it looks “Really spectacular. Spared no expense.”
The stage is the largest that USS has ever built for a day-time show, and it is filled with a bewildering number of parts for stunts and dramatic action. Many doors, ladders, platforms. And of course the T-Rex is going to be the largest effect here – will it be bursting through the gates in the middle or casually lunge from above?
Aerial rig on the left of the stage – either for flying dinosaur or flying human.
Some crane prop which looks adequate only for light lifting.
Two pairs of padded bars that resemble Kit-Kat. Lots of grab bars and hidden openings on both sides of the stage.
Look at the size of the black box behind the stage – for the gigantic T-Rex figure (possibly a puppet).
The ‘Explore’ part of the ‘Explore & Roar’ event will take place across several zones in the park. Some dino footprints were spotted last week in the park, leading towards The Lost World/ Jurassic Park zone.

Jurassic Park zone refurbishments
Before Jurassic World, there was Jurassic Park…
This zone received some refurbishment works over the past few months.
The two massive dinosaurs at the fountain – cleaned and repainted.
Canopy at the zone’s entrance plaza – cleaned and with all the loose ends literally tied up.
The zone’s signature lamps were also redone.
During the ‘Explore & Roar’ event, you can expect more dinosaur encounters around this zone of the park.
Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure reopened a few weeks ago after scheduled maintenance. Anyone been on the ride recently?
Jurassic World shopping experiences
Dino-Store, located at Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure’s ride exit, was recently redesigned – basically the cashier moved to the other end, offering a larger wall for retail displays.
You can also grab more Jurassic World goods at the Universal Studios Store and Silver Screen Store.
Go explore and ROAR with these dino masks, for just S$29.90.
Proudly displayed at the Silver Screen: A LEGO raptor. And if you’re looking for Jurassic World LEGO/ Duplo sets, the park has tons of them.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Adventure Experience at Plaza Singapura
As part of promotions for the new Jurassic World movie, there’s a roadshow at Plaza Singapura from now till 17 June 2018. Some USS Season Passes are up for grabs via Resorts World’s Instagram contest. During the first weekend of the roadshow, there are special opportunities to meet Val the Velociraptor and Wyatt, Jurassic World’s Dinosaur Behavioural Specialist.

Halloween Horror Nights 8 haunted houses update
Just about 4 months to go before infinite fear is unleashed at Halloween Horror Nights 8, and USS has started building some houses. You can prepare yourself by grabbing some ‘Limited Time Special’ discounted HHN8 tickets and packages, while stocks last. While no new info was released since the HHN x Stranger Things reveal, it is likely that USS will at least match last year’s line-up of 5 haunted houses and 2 scare zones. The Waterworld queue and Jurassic Park backstage areas already have the structural works up. The backstage site behind New York is also being cleared out. That, Soundstage 28 and the Revenge of the Mummy exterior queue rounds up 5 possible spaces for haunted houses.
Halloween Horror Nights 8 scare actor auditions
For those who enjoy scaring people for a living, or want that elusive Demogorgon role in the Stranger Things haunted house. You better make these dates free to score that job at Halloween Horror Nights 8!
