Bubblegum Pop 2014 Countdown at Universal Studios Singapore

Also known as New Year’s Eve at Universal Studios Singapore, this year’s countdown at USS is billed as Singapore’s largest family countdown event.

6:00PM – 1:00AM (1st Jan 2014)
*Guests with Day Passes can enjoy the park’s attractions all day and night.
*Universal Studios Singapore Annual and Season Passholders can enter USS at any time from 10am.

The park will be open for guests with Party Admission Passes from 6pm.

Why choose this event?

It’s Universal Studios Singapore! USS countdown parties for the past two years seemed to be a great hits. RWS bills this event as the largest family-friendly countdown party in Singapore. There will of course, be the usual fireworks display at Lake Hollywood as the park welcomes the new year.

Park attractions available during New Year’s Eve Party at USS
Most rides and shows will stay open till 1AM. Certain outdoor attractions will be closed earlier in preparation for fireworks right after the countdown.

Special Performances and activities
The park has a wide line-up of entertainment for the big Countdown to 2014 at USS: Tribute performances of pop stars such as Kylie Minogue and Britney Spears, flanked with band performances by The Rocketeers and DJ Edward. The streets of New York and Hollywood zones will be filled with stilt-walkers, buskers, street performers, balloon sculpters and face-painters will keep guests entertained.

Party Admission (Valid after 6pm on 31st December 2013 only)

After 6pm Party Admission Pass: $68

Just like last year, there is only one category of tickets for guests of all ages. Given the high ticket price of the Party Pass, it makes more sense to just purchase a Day Pass and be at the park early in the day (I guess this is what the park is planning anyway). It makes more sense especially when there isn’t Child/Senior pricing for the Countdown party.

Asia’s largest beach countdown party is back again with a colourful splash!

It’s a beach party! As the name says, this is a massive countdown party held along the happenin’ Siloso Beach at Sentosa.

As a party that’s geared for the teens, *SCAPE Collision 2014 is organized by youths, for youths. Party up with an array of performances by young talents.

Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2014

As a waterfront lifestyle hub in our modern city, Marina Bay has been an iconic and massive venue to usher in the new year. Returning for this year’s mega-countdown are the usual activities, but the entertainment programme appears to be beefed up.

MediaCorp Channel 5 Presents: Celebrate TV50

This is the only event at Marina Bay that charges for admission. Celebrate TV 50 is a “5-hour live TV show” that will have some segments broadcast live on Channel 5. Some notable foreign artists include Wang Leehom and The Wanted.

New Year’s Eve / New Year Public Transport Guide

Transport Services departing from Sentosa

Sentosa Bus

Shuttle buses will depart from Beach Station and Siloso Point to Harbourfront Bus Interchange on New Year’s Eve / 1st January 2014. This service will be available from 10PM to 7AM (1st Jan 2014)

Sentosa Express

The last train of the Sentosa Express monorail will depart from Beach Station at 1AM.

Taxi

Siloso Beach Party attendees: Walk over to the Taxi Drop Off/Pick Up point at Coach Park.
Universal Studios Singapore countdown attendees: Walk over to the Taxi Stand at RWS Basement Carpark area.

Sentosa Boardwalk

The Boardwalk connecting to Vivocity / Harbourfront is open 24 hours.

SMRT Bus and Train Services

SMRT will extend train services on East-West Line, North-South Line and Circle Line for New Year’s Eve and 1st January 2014. The last train from City Hall Interchange towards Joo Koon, Pasir Ris and Jurong East depart at 2:15AM on 1st Jan, with all train services terminating at 3:20AM. The last train towards Marina Bay MRT will depart at 2:05AM.

Select feeder Bus services will also be extended, with departures from interchanges as late as 3:20AM (last year’s).

SBS Bus and Train Services

SBS will extend bus and train (North-East Line and Downtown Line) services on New Year’s Eve and 1st January 2014. The last North-East Line train from Harbourfront (towards Punggol) will depart at 2:16AM. Downtown Line will also be available, with last trains departing each end of the line at around 2:13AM.

Party attendees from Sentosa events should be aware of transit times from Sentosa island to Harbourfront MRT.
