Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase – Grand Opening & Carnival at New York
Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase is now officially open at Universal Studios Singapore, Resorts World at Sentosa. With a light-hearted and silly storyline about missing spaghetti, this indoor dark ride brings guests on a space adventure to recover stolen pasta. To celebrate the grand opening of this new family-oriented attraction, Universal Studios Singapore is organizing a Sesame Street Carnival for the ride’s opening weekend (March 1st 2013 ~ March 3rd 2013).
I’ve already published a very in-depth ride review and information treasure trove about the ride two weeks ago. Be sure to read it!
As several readers wrote to me requesting for a trip report and photos of the Grand Opening and Sesame Street Carnival, I made a special trip to the park. Enjoy the photos!
The Art of the Brick
The Art of the Brick presents a stunning collection of brick creations by Nathan Sawaya, famed LEGO artist (and LEGO Master Builder) from New York. Staged at the Level 3 Galleries in the ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands, Sawaya’s creations dance between thought-provoking sculptures with the playful medium of colourful LEGO bricks.

6 March 2013 Update: New photos added!
Tons of new photos showcasing the ride and its queue has been added throughout this post.
I’m back from the Annual Passholder Preview of Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase. Here is my trip report and overview of the attraction. Spoilers ahead.
LifeProof frē for iPhone 5 – first look
So your new iPhone 5 decided to be adventurous and dived off your pocket. It bounced gracefully off the ground (in slow-motion), and landed face first into a puddle of refreshing rainwater. While you deliberate at the cracked touch screen, water seeps into this finely crafted block of aluminum, triggering the hidden liquid submersion indicators (LSI). Apple warranty voided. What to do?
Few case manufacturers produce waterproof cases, but at the moment we have the LifeProof frē for iPhone 5. Otterbox announced plans for a waterproof case next year, but for now, LifeProof (or generic waterproof “flap bags”) are some ways to protect the iPhone 5.
Nike+ Fuelband – revisited in ICE
I wrote about the Nike+ Fuelband in March 2012. Since then, I have worn this nifty black wristband for almost every day, and encouraged some close friends and family to do the same. While it’s not a sole motivator for keeping active for me (it’s just a nice reminder), the fancy LED display is certainly a conversation starter.
Marine Life Park: Adventure Cove Waterpark – review
Step into a tropical paradise at Adventure Cove Waterpark, a part of Marine Life Park at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS). Filled with mysteries of the ocean and splashing fun in the sun, this Waterpark also offers its guests opportunities to immerse in marine habitats. In the near future, interaction programmes with Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins will be made available.
Update 20/11/2012: Marine Life Park will soft open on 22/11/2012. Both S.E.A. Aquarium and Adventure Cove Waterpark will be open to the public.
Here is my review and photo tour of Adventure Cove Waterpark, the “wet” and outdoors aspect of Marine Life Park. You can also view my aerial photography series covering the construction of Adventure Cove Waterpark here.
Incanto – a quick review

Incanto Logo © Resorts World Sentosa
Mere months after the end of Voyage de la Vie‘s record run, Resorts World Sentosa announced a new show to grace the Festive Grand theatre. Billed as a theatrical magic spectacular, Incanto is truly a spectacle – 90 minutes packed with heart-stopping action, and bewildering illusions.
I caught the show last week during the opening weekend. Here is my (hopefully short) review of Incanto.
Lightning to Micro USB Adapter – review
The Lightning to Micro USB Adapter was recently made available at the Apple Online Store. Priced at S$28, this adapter allows owners of iPhone 5, iPad mini and iPad (fourth generation) to charge using a Micro USB cable.
Switcheasy Tones for iPhone 5 – review
Switcheasy TONES is a slim case for the iPhone 5. It wraps around the sides and back of the iPhone. Perhaps the most compelling feature of this case is its duo-material construction, which mimics the two-tone look of the iPhone 5. The Switcheasy TONES finally landed in Singapore last week, with a retail price of S$35.
I’ve decided to write about this case because I think I found the case. Read on to find out more.
