This event brings a wave of mischief inspired by 1920s filmmaking to the park’s Hollywood zone, with a new performance, meet and greet experiences, and F&B treats to be discovered across restaurants and snack carts. It also marks the debut of new Minions James and Henry in an original live stage show, Conjuring Chaos – but more on that later.
Mischief and Mayhem at Hollywood zone
Once you step into the park, you can’t miss these giant tentacles emerging all around Hollywood zone.
You’ve stumbled into a hot set!
As you walk down the street, it’s also time to embrace your superstar identity and snap some photos here.
All these new scenes offer a glimpse of the new Minion & Monsters film, in cinemas July 2026.
Conjuring Chaos Live Show at USS Minions & Monsters Summer
The highlight of the USS summer event is Conjuring Chaos, a new stage show that brings the 1920s Hollywood setting of the upcoming film to life. At this big stage, you’re treated to an exclusive look inside a studio filming a scene for their latest monster movie. It’s a clever, self-referential premise that is on brand for a Universal Studios theme park.
James and Henry have arrived at the studio to co-direct the final climatic scene of the movie.
True to Minions fashion, the production goes completely off the rails as the crew summon real movie monsters onto the stage.
Both Howard and Irene (from the upcoming movie) are unleashed at the studio!
With the right counter-spell, the monsters were sent back home, bringing the production to a close.
And it’s a wrap! You’ll get your chance to meet the characters up close for some photos after it ends.
I felt that Conjuring Chaos gets a lot right: most notably, debuting the new characters right on Hollywood Street where they thematically belong. Backed by the catchy “Hooray for Hollywood”, the performance brings a welcome dose of vintage cinematic glamour back to the area. As the show is completely outdoors, the tight 10-minute runtime is a massive plus. It keeps the energy high for a standing audience (and offers a mercifully short set for the dancers and characters working directly exposed to the sun…)
Crowd Control Tip: Ask the park crew on where the queue would be formed after the show concludes, and follow instructions accordingly. Usually, being at the sides of the street (rather than right in the middle) are better to join the orderly lines.
Back to the stage – it is unusually large and elaborate for a summer event (compared to most summer events in USS) which suggests that it might stay around for a bit longer, and hopefully be part of a particular crowd favourite after dark.
Spooky Snacks: USS Minions & Monsters Summer F&B Showcase
Throughout Minions & Monsters Summer, you can enjoy limited-time F&B specials across multiple dining venues such as KT’s Grill, Loui’s NY Pizza Parlor, Super Hungry Food Stand and Star Snacks cart.
Minions & Monsters Frutti di Mare Pizza (Loui’s NY Pizza Parlor)
Howard’s Seafood Paella (KT’s Grill)
available as a set with Goomi’s Chaos Elixir
Goomi’s Chaos Elixir (KT’s Grill)
Irene’s Chicken Cutlet Sandwich (Super Hungry Food Stand)
I quite enjoyed this! Visually, it’s a standout. The gooey orange eggs are topped with eyes mirroring Irene’s monstrous look, serving as the perfect edible photo-op.
James’s Banana and Hazelnut Bombolone (Star Snacks cart)
The park is having a major bomboloni moment, but this yellow treat is very indulgent – filled with thick hazelnut cream loaded with sweet banana. Worth the calories!
Lights, Camera, Corndog (Star Snacks cart)
Encrusted in crushed tortilla chips and dusted with sour cream powder, this corndog is built to deliver a texturally intense savoury crunch.
Seasonal Merchandise: New Drops at Silver Screen Store
You can find a new selection of Minions & Monsters merch at the Silver Screen Store near the park entrance. Notably, the collection features a range of toys and collectibles showcasing the franchise’s newest characters, offering fans a fascinating hint at what the upcoming movie’s plot line might entail.
Beyond the Park: Discover the RWS Summer of Treasures
The movie mischief at Universal Studios Singapore is just one piece of a massive, resort-wide campaign. Running from 29 May to 30 August 2026, the Resorts World Sentosa Summer of Treasures brings together major pop-culture icons, art installations, and fan-favorite characters.
Adventure Cove Waterpark has received a sun-kissed summer overlay featuring Sanrio Hapidanbui Summer, based on Sanrio’s popular boy band, Hapidanbui (which I only just learned this year).
Just across from the waterpark, the Research and Learning Centre at the Singapore Oceanarium is anchoring the resort’s educational programming with a dedicated lineup celebrating World Oceans Day from 6 to 8 June 2026.
The heart of the activation is GREEN-HOUSE HangOut: Ready, Set, Reef! produced by Pass It On Studio, which is happening only on 6 and 7 June 2026. This family-oriented event features a series of fun activities and a curated marketplace spotlighting Singapore-based eco-brands.
For art toy collectors, the hype continues across the resort. The POP MART store at RWS WEAVE received a marine-themed overlay based on CRYBABY’s CRY ME an OCEAN series. This serves as a teaser for the big CRYBABY experience launching at the Singapore Oceanarium on 24 June.
To round out your treasure hunt around RWS, make a pit stop at the basement level of WEAVE, where you can find a football-jersey-clad LABUBU sculpture as part of the Summer of Treasures trail.
Speaking of which, there’s also another exciting new development coming to WEAVE: another POP MART retail experience with POP BAKERY.
