Where is Cj Hendry’s Flower Market opening in Singapore?

If you have spent any time scrolling through art and lifestyle feeds over the past year, you have likely caught glimpses of a colourful, oversized marketplace packed entirely with thousands of plush flowers (and possibly some mayhem when new varieties drop). This is an exhibition that sparked hours-long queues and captured hearts across New York, Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi, and Sydney. Now, it is Singapore’s turn.

For just 5 days only from 10 to 14 15 June 2026, New York-based Australian contemporary artist Cj Hendry will present the Southeast Asian premiere of Flower Market. The experiential pop-up is taking place at the freshly minted IMBA Theatre, a new arts and entertainment venue located within Gardens by the Bay. It’s just a short walk from the Bayfront Plaza area (or Bayfront MRT Station Exit B).

Pre-Register for faster access

If you are planning to visit, pre-registration is recommended via via Fever site (while slots last). A separate line for walk-ins will also be available daily, subject to venue capacity. On 11 June, the walk-in queue was capped at 180 mins in the evening, and had to be closed early.

Highlights of Cj Hendry’s Flower Market – Singapore Debut

Conceived from the simple, universal joy that flowers bring, Flower Market transforms the gallery space into a vibrant (and exaggerated) flower marketplace. Instead of fragile petals, the entire room is flooded with vibrant rows of colourful plush blooms.

Known worldwide for her hyperrealistic drawings and grand public installations that challenge perception, Hendry’s primary goal has always been to make art genuinely accessible to everyone. Flower Market embodies this beautifully – the exhibition is designed as a nod to slow living, encouraging visitors to take a break from the frantic pace of the city.

Guests are invited to freely wander the space, pick up individual plush stems, touch them, and thoughtfully curate their own bouquet of blooms.

So what do you do when you get here? Grab a tote bag and start shopping. True to Hendry’s ethos of communal participation, entry to Flower Market is entirely free of charge. To sweeten the experience, every visitor receives their first plush flower stem completely free, giving everyone a tangible piece of art to take home and treasure. For those looking to build a full, everlasting bouquet, additional stems can be purchased for S$7 each.

Trust me, time really flies inside here. But you have all the time (subject to opening hours) to browse, and you can pick from over 30 varieties of these everlasting flowers… while supplies last!

Exclusive Singapore Blooms at Cj Hendry’s Flower Market

The Singapore iteration of Cj Hendry’s Flower Market features an expansive palette of over 30 plush flower varieties. In a marvelous nod to the host city, Hendry has designed a handful of brand-new varieties exclusively for this launch, here’s some of them:

The Singapore Ginger Flower is likely a hot favourite, along with Papilionanthe Miss Joaquim (Singapore’s national flower).

I’m particularly quite fond of the frangipani – it’s quite well crafted, along with these blue hydrangeas.

There are also some more “unique” offerings for Singapore, such as the Raffles’ Pitcher Plant. These would add a bit of challenge (or twist) to your bouquet.

The Singapore-exclusive creations will only be available during this five-day window.

Exploring Flower Market: The Other Blooms

Even if you’re not on the hunt for the Singapore exclusives, the other varieties are also quite lovely to look at.

These look like fluffy editions of thistles and tulips.

Time to Check Out

Once you’re done browsing at the Flower Market, head to the cashiers’, where you can officially check out your free bloom, and pay for any additional flowers you’ve selected. You’ll get a paper carrier for your mini bouquet – but the tote bag has to go back (or you can bring it home?) Otherwise, I suggest you bring a larger tote bag so that your flowers can be protected on the way home.

Coming Later this June: Cj Hendry’s juju world arrives

While this viral Flower Market will only bloom for five short days, it is just the beginning of Cj Hendry’s major presentation in Singapore. Once the flower displays are cleared, the gallery space will undergo a transformation to prepare for the global premiere of juju world at IMBA Theatre, running from 20 June to 18 July 2026.

juju world in Singapore will be a ticketed, surreal inflatable experience centered entirely around Hendry’s cult-status collectible toy series, juju. Marking a historic first for the series, the installation will be presented entirely in a bold, world-exclusive yellow colourway, complete with a massive inflatable structure, interactive play spaces, and limited, large-sized Singapore-exclusive juju collectibles.
