Automatarium (by David Berga)
Singapore Art Museum Courtyard (Queen Street)
Show Times: 8:00PM – 9:00PM, 10:00PM – 11:00PM
Step into this peculiar fairground, Automatarium, and find a curious collection of ‘very realistic’ automatons that come alive – whenever you insert a coin.
Don’t be shy – The barker will offer you a coin.
A few of these very unique machines were brought in – you can witness the Corpse Bride coming to life…
Be amused by the Clown‘s jokes and tricks.
Or have your future revealed by the Fortune Teller.
The performances are cyclical – like actual automatons of old… But don’t just insert coin and run away.
Stand in front of each machine, and you’ll get to experience a rather special miming-storytelling experience.
And maybe also get some much needed signs from the beyond.
