Mysterious Gardens is not a specific area in Haw Par Villa – it is what I call a few areas in the entire compound that are quite… strange.
Well anyway, these are some of the figures that can be found at the exit of Ten Courts of Hell.
Rather puzzling. But there’s something interesting around the area too.
An amphitheater, abandoned.
Some rather elaborate backdrops here, with that genuine vintage look.
A strange creature atop a pavilion.
One of two majestic archways leading into the legends and myths section of the park.
I didn’t spend a lot of time here, but there are countless anthropomorphic figures here.
Since there is a Statue of Liberty at the Gardens, the Garuda also makes an appearance.
A frog biting a large coin, which is slowly falling apart.
Very dramatic dioramas at this section, but with faded description panels, it’s hard to make sense of the story unless for those already familiar.
We’ll be wrapping up this series with a final update featuring the Hilltop section of Haw Par Villa. Stay tuned.
