Get into the festive spirit at Universal Studios Singapore’s Santa’s All-Star Christmas event!
About Santa’s All-Star Christmas 2016
This is the park’s largest Christmas event yet – with three stage shows, an interactive show experience and the record-breaking Universal Journey attraction.
This event takes place from 1 December 2016 to 2 January 2017. It will take a break on 31 December 2016 as the park will be holding the Dance in the Park Countdown event.
During the event period, the park will be open from 10:00am to 9:00pm. However, not all Christmas shows and attractions are open right from the start of the day. We’ve noticed that Santa’s Village opens from 1pm, and most of the Christmas shows begin in the afternoon. Check the park’s times guide when you visit!
Santa’s Village
The totally-new thing this year is Santa’s Village, at the area where the Salem Witch House once stood during Halloween Horror Nights 6. Similar to that Haunted House, you have to enter through the Rockefeller Building facade at New York zone.
After passing by a rather bland queue area (which thankfully wasn’t used) and a needless photo op station, you’ll find yourself transported to Santa’s Village through a ‘snow tube’ and rainbow tunnel.
Santa’s Village isn’t the largest space (wow, they built a haunted house here?), but there are numerous ‘stations’ with roaming performers. Unlike last year’s Scrooge Alley, there is more space for all the characters to roam about, and there’s even a stage for small performances.
(There’s too much of the ‘Hobo’ typeface used for the shop signs, which gives the area a simplistic, mall-like feel. Perhaps some effort could be done to give each signboard a different look and personality)
As the residents of Santa’s Village (mostly elves) interact with visitors at their town, many things can happen during your visit. Over a span of 45 minutes or so, many things can happen that will disrupt the usual, idyllic state of the village.
One of the activities is ‘Urgent Delivery’. If you see guests helping the elves decorate a gift box.. Stay around to see what happens next..
Take a seat on the haystack and watch a little show with talking reindeers.
North Pole Postal Service has gone digital – Send an eCard here!
Otherwise, you can stay around to meet and greet the Village characters. The park’s photographers will be roaming around the area and you can also purchase photo prints in Santa’s Village.
Don’t forget to say Hi to Mrs Claus!
Under the Mistletoe
Be charmed by Marilyn Monroe and Betty Boop as they sing about their favourite things and quarrel with songs and dance at Under The Mistletoe.
Staged at the New York Library, this is an all-new show that is easily one of the most memorable with the songs alone. After all, where else could Marilyn steal Betty’s “I Want You For Christmas”?
They know what they want, and they want what they want, but will they get what they want?
Under the Mistletoe – Set List:
– Meet Me Under the Mistletoe
– White Diamonds Christmas
– Baby it’s Cold Outside
– I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus
– I Want You For Christmas
– Santa Baby
Bah Humbug! A Christmas Spectacular!
This year’s headlining stage show extravaganza is written/ produced/ directed/ and sponsored by Ebenezer Scrooge.
Bah Humbug! is in many ways a remix of last year’s Christmas shows and experiences. Now a philanthropist and director, Scrooge has brought together a cast of streetrats, elves, Minions, Sesame Street gang and even the Snow Queen herself.
(It’s about time the park added a large digital backdrop at Pantages. Think of all the possibilities!)
Be enthralled by the Cyr Wheel Act…
The show lasts about 20 minutes, and ends with a rather hectic game of dodgeball.
Bah Humbug! A Christmas Spectacular – Set List:
– Where Are You Christmas
– Christmas! Bah! Bug and Hum!
– Silent Night (Minions ver.)
– Sleigh Bells (Dance Interlude)
– Deck The Halls
– What You Want For Christmas (Dance Interlude)
– Oh Santa!
– All I Want For Christmas
– Jingle Bells (Minions ver.)
– Guardians Regroup
– Wizards in Winter
– It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas (Sesame Street ver.)
– Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree (Sesame Street ver.)
– Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer (Sesame Street ver.)
– We Wish You A Merry Christmas (Sesame Street ver.)
– It’s Not Christmas Without You
DJ Eddy Elf’s Rocking Radio Station
What’s happening at the Hollywood Stage? Tune in to DJ Eddy Elf’s Rocking Radio Station for fun and games!
This is a more upbeat and hilarious take on last year’s Hollywood stage show.
Of course, with Beetlejuice around, you can expect a different flavour of comedy.
Like last year’s gift show, guests can participate in this performance.
Mel’s Christmas Jive
Mel’s Christmas Jive is similar to last year’s show, but they’ve tweaked some of the lines, the finale, and the Cruisers don new outfits this holiday. And oh, the show’s got a new name (since DJ Eddy’s the Rockin show now).
Mel’s Christmas Jive – Set List:
– Santa Claus is Coming To Town
– Wonderful Christmas Time
– This Christmas
– Merry Christmas Baby
– Run Run Rudolph
– Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)
– What Christmas Means To Me
With the extended park hours, you can also catch this show in the evening.
Santa’s All Star Christmas – Spotify Playlist
Here’s our playlist of the songs we heard at the park’s shows: Under the Mistletoe, Bah Humbug! A Christmas Spectacular, and Mel’s Christmas Jive. Note that many of the songs are specially arranged and performed live at the park, thus this playlist would not have the same songs. If you want the versions played at the park, you’ll have to watch the shows LIVE at the park.
Universal Journey
Here’s the completed presentation of the Universal Journey. The previous entry was a preview and the attraction entrance was not put up in November.
Despite the fanfare, the Universal Journey attraction wasn’t too crowded in early December. Better visit it now to snap all your photos, before everyone hears about this.
Christmas Decorations
Christmas lights are all around the park, with the most elaborate ones at New York and Hollywood zones.
Seems like the memo’s to have more stars, less snowflakes this year.
And that’s all we have for this park update!

I’m envious that this year’s USS Xmas offerings are this good. Too bad I’m overseas and not able to participate. Sigh.
All in all, good to see USS moving towards bigger seasonal events to draw in the locals. TDR now has no obvious lull period with Frozen -> Easter -> Summer -> Halloween -> Xmas events annually. And with seasonal food and merchandise to boot (which obviously rakes in the money.
All these events won’t be happening on the 31 Dec?
If it’s like past years, the shows will continue to run during the day. However the schedule will be adjusted for the unique Countdown entertainment happening on the night of 31 Dec.
Thanks for the update Dejiki! Definitely gonna visit!
