Universal Studios Singapore’s Minion Land Explained
Here’s an overview of Minion Land, showing the Super Silly Fun Land area on the right side of the pathway, and Minion Marketplace with Gru’s Neighbourhood at the middle in the background.
On the lower left corner, there is a stage which may be used for an all-new show called Minute of Minion Mayhem, as well as new Meet and Greet experiences.
Your adventure at Minion Land starts right off at Super Silly Fun Land, “a theme park in a theme park” located by the waterfront at Universal Studios Singapore. This area is designed taking in ideas from various Minion-themed sections from other Universal Studios parks. It will include two new spinner rides, carnival games, and many photo spots.
Announced in December 2024: The Super Hungry Food Stand, a Singapore-exclusive restaurant where you can enjoy Minion-themed food in wacky environments inspired by classic carnival games: Down-a-Clown, Lucky Ducky, and Balloon Dart – plus a lot of chaotic fun added by the Minions.
Some food you can enjoy here include: A vegan burger with mushroom patty and guacamole, served with Minion tots; Japanese curry rice with chicken karaage; and a Rainbow cheese cake designed after the popular Fluffy the unicorn.
Two new rides will open here, with the tilting Balloon chase Silly Swirly and the Singapore’s exclusive Buggie Boogie carousel ride, where you can enjoy Minion-remixed songs curated by minion DJ Carl. Check out this video to see the rides being tested:
As for carnival games, the iconic Super Silly Space Killer from the first Despicable Me will be recreated as one of the games at Minion Land. And to celebrate the opening of Minion Land in Singapore, the park will offer two limited edition Singapore-exclusive Super Silly Space Killer figures: a premium vinyl collectible in iridescent finish (limited to 100 pieces) and a full-coloured vinyl figure (limited to 1,000 pieces)!
Just across the road is the Minion Marketplace, with vibrant buildings adapted from Minion Park at Universal Studios Japan. Full of details and adorable Minions all around – these vibrant, outlandish buildings facades truly steal the show in this themed area.
Similar to the Japan park, there are three retail spaces here, themed to Sweet Surrender, Fun Store and Pop Store.
