Witness every unforgettable moment from the Wicked: For Good Singapore Premiere at Universal Studios Singapore and Resorts World Sentosa.
What happened at Wicked: For Good Singapore Premiere Day
As the final international stop on the press tour, Singapore was treated to a spectacular, two-part celebration of magic, glamour, and one-of-a-kind fan moments. It all took place on 13 November 2025 at Resorts World Sentosa’s WEAVE lifestyle hub and Universal Studios Singapore.
In this article, come along with me as I document my experience on Wicked: For Good’s Singapore Premiere Day!

Relive the moments of the Singapore Premiere in this vlog!
The Yellow Carpet Prep at Universal Studios Singapore
I arrived at Universal Studios Singapore (USS) before the event time and saw the sheer scale of the Premiere event.
The Universal Globe and Park Entrance Arch, usually crowded and bustling, was cordoned off. Even the Globe stopped spinning to keep it at the best position for photo ops.
Fans have been waiting along the Yellow Carpet, standing behind the barricade since the park opened. Some have been around as early as 6AM!
It’s rare to see the street blocked out like that. There are numerous pens along the Yellow Carpet, each one for designated for invited guests that will witness this once-in-a-lifetime event.
The Emerald City stage has been further modified with a platform for the hand print ceremony with Wicked: For Good cast and Director Jon M. Chu later in the evening.
The Yellow Carpet extends all the way to the Pantages Hollywood Theater, to a Photo Wall just outside Mel’s Drive-In.
The Exclusive Fan Meet at RWS WEAVE
It was time for the Fan Meet at WEAVE. Held in an exclusive, smaller venue, the more intimate setting was perfect for close encounter with the stars.
But first, the dapper Citizens of Oz welcomed us to the Emerald City!
Director Jon M. Chu took the stage, followed by the appearance of the cast of Wicked: For Good, including legendary actress Michelle Yeoh.
The crowd went crazy when Ariana Grande finally appeared.
She arrived with Cynthia Erivo, who wore a stunning black dress.
Rushing Back to the Yellow Carpet to catch the Best Looks
The Fan Meet ended with a sudden surge of adrenaline. We were quickly ushered out of WEAVE and were led through a secret path through the back of house at Universal Studios Singapore.
Bypassing the security lines and the thousands of screaming fans was an unprecedented thrill, making us feel like true Ozmopolitan VIPs. We emerged directly onto the sidelines of the already buzzing Yellow Carpet.
Fashionistas and style icons walked down the red carpet – including Singaporean drag artist Opera Tang who arrived with her grandmother.
Over an hour later, the stars re-emerged in spectacular gala outfits.
While an unfortunate incident took place during the Yellow Carpet arrivals, the stars carried on with the handprint ceremony on stage. The show must go on.
All five major celebrities Michelle Yeoh, Ariana Grande, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum and Director Jon M. Chu “cemented” this history-making moment.
And then it was final encounters with the cast, as they continued their walk down the Yellow Brick Road.
Changed For Good: The First in Asia to Witness the Sequel
Following the buzz of the Yellow Carpet, my next destination was the Pantages Hollywood Theater, the venue for the movie screening of Wicked: For Good. This is the closed-door event.
Finally entering the theater and settling into my seat was a relief from an entire afternoon akin to a marathon around the resort.
As this movie takes place at Universal Studios Singapore, it’s never an ordinary Premiere! We had visitors from the Emerald City join us (for a while).
Director Jon M. Chu made a final appearance on stage, sharing personal stories on the 5-year journey creating Wicked, and his return to Singapore. The lights then dimmed and the long-awaited moment arrived.
After months of hype, following the press tour, and experiencing the day’s magic firsthand, watching the highly anticipated sequel to 2024’s Wicked was the ultimate payoff.
Final Walk Down the Yellow Carpet
As the credits rolled (and tears shed by many in the theater), the atmosphere shifted from electric excitement to quiet awe. Exiting the theater, the Yellow Carpet is now open to all.
Walking the length of the carpet one last time, without the rush of the cameras or the roar of the crowd, savouring last moments of the most unprecedented and spectacular Ozmopolitan celebration Singapore has ever hosted.
