Mirror Mirror offers a quick and playful experience, achieved with a mesmerizing blend of light and sound. While not groundbreaking in its format or content, the mix of rooms is fun and should be enjoyable for all ages. The concept also feels less “forced” compared to teamLab exhibitions, which is likely what most people might compare this with.

With just 8 “rooms”, it is a short exhibition that can be completed in about 30-45 minutes. Some rooms act as spacers and don’t offer as much “wow” moments as the rest (like the opening with three doors, and the neuroscience exhibition in the middle). There are rooms that make sense to immerse in for several minutes, while others are quite transient. The highlights are obviously the rooms with massive synchronised lighting effects – crafted not just for the ambience but also for generating social media content.

This interactive exhibition takes over the basement galleries where half of The World of Studio Ghibli was held. ArtScience Museum’s permanent teamLab exhibition, Future World, is still at the basement, but is now closed for a revamp.

Choose your path by picking a glowing door at the Doorway. Behind each door is a unique room to start your journey. All paths will converge in the exhibition, and there are multiple shortcuts to be discovered later on.

If you choose the Red Door, it will lead you to Memory Storage, a dazzling installation with glimmering lights, flashing words, and pulsing music. You can even add your touch by scanning the QR code on the floor, adding a slice of your memory into the installation.

Drift away from the vibrations and into the Open Window, which uses AI to generate an endless stream of text and visuals that evolve based on visitor inputs.

The Grey Matter room explains the hidden workings of the kind – from thoughts, memories, actions to neurons.

Create unusual spectacles in Brainstorm, an interactive installation that requires you to work with other visitors to hit targets on a floating screen with balls, and fusing odds and ends into new creations.

Take a break in Moodscape, where you can rest on the swinging chairs, letting the light, music and blinding fog shift your emotions.

(Note: Dense fog effects are used in this room to limit visibility, which may be overwhelming for some visitors)

Uncover your hidden side in the Mirrors of Tomorrow, a series of digital mirrors that enable your reflection to break apart images and form new symbols.

At the end of this experience, you can collect a card based on your chosen symbol. A simple souvenir.

Lose yourself in the Forest of Echoes, a mysterious maze-like dimension filled with mirrors and lasers that would lead you on a journey of rediscovery.

After completing all the rooms, you are free to wander, retrace your steps, and rediscover any room of your choosing.
