Meet Pikachu and friends at the Pokémon at Changi Airport event, from now till 17 February 2017.
After many weeks of teasers, your favourite Pokémon have finally landed at Changi Airport! The event launched with Singapore’s first-ever Pikachu parade.
Pikachu Parade
Have you seen so many ‘giant’ dancing Pikachu before?
Well, there were 10 of them at Changi Airport!
And the kids just couldn’t wait to meet them.
They have caused quite a commotion… there was almost a stampede.
Experience the Pikachu Parade – watch this video!
This parade is held only on 18 November. After that, only two of them will be staying at Changi Airport for Meet & Greet. We heard that the other Pikachu have waddled off… to a certain island in Singapore – so you’ll see them again soon!
Pikachu Meet & Greet
Terminal 3 Departure Hall
18 November 2016 – 1 January 2017
6pm and 8pm on Saturdays and Sundays*
(*except 3 December)
Pokémon Spots at Changi Airport
Many different Pokémon were seen ‘in the wild’ at Changi Airport. They are really everywhere. Well, the one that you can’t miss is the giant, 7-metre tall Pikachu here.
The ‘Toy Workshop’ isn’t completely Pokemon related though, although…
Someone’s waiting outside.
Look carefully at the Christmas tree decorations!
What’s more fun than finding them all? You can get free stuff! Just take selfies with 3 different Pokémon and upload onto Instagram or Facebook, and tag #PokemonatChangi for a chance to redeem an item at Terminal 3!
Near Terminal 3 Row 11, there are 3 Starters and 2 Legendary Pokemon from Pokémon Sun and Moon near each other. You can complete the Selfie activity within a minute!

Snorlax Garden
It looks like there are more sleepy Pokémon stumbling around the airport!
The Pikachu plush look so relaxed in their ‘cocoon’ onesies.
Putting up the tree must’ve been very tiring. Do not disturb.
Pokémon – Interactive Booths
In line with the launch of Pokémon Sun and Moon, minigame booths are also part of this year’s event. Give the Z-Moves and Narikiri Face Painting games a shot at Terminals 2 and 3!
Pokémon Merchandise
Changi Airport is selling some Pokemon Merchandise at a Pop-up Store near the Toy Workshop display at Terminal 3.
The highlight here would be the World Pikachu series of toys, and a wide variety of Nanoblocks – including the monochromatic range.
If you’re planning to get anything, you may want to plan your purchases so that you can redeem a Plush toy for S$9.90. It is quite easy to hit the minimum spend given the price of the items. See below.
Pokémon Plush Toys
With a minimum spend of S$60 (S$90 on iShopChangi.com; or S$120 at the Transit Area, Changi Recommends and supermarkets) in a single receipt, you can take one of these toys home for S$9.90! Different designs will be available throughout the event period, and redemptions will go on till 11 February 2017, or while stocks last!
These plush toys are from the Japanese Pokemon Nuigurumi (ポケモンぬいぐるみ) series, which unlike last year’s Star Wars exclusives, could be purchased elsewhere – But certainly not at S$9.90. Notably, the Pikachu, Eevee, Bulbasaur, Rowlett, and Litten plush toys are very well constructed.
Special Thanks to Changi Airport for inviting us to Pokémon at Changi.
