Thank you very much for the tips. By the way, when we get into a Haunted house, Do we need to go one by one for each person or in a group?

    • Dejiki October 6, 2015 at 10:09 pm #

Unless you are in the queue extraordinary early (or very late), you will always be entering the house with other park guests.

Just been to the HHN last night and it was quite a frenzy. Followed your technique of going to The Hell House first. It was already crowded despite reaching there around 7:45.

Waiting time was 45 minutes then 30 minutes

SG Blk 50 was 40 minutes with a moving queue

conTerminated was only 30 minutes (but many people jump queues a lot)

The Tunnel was around 15 minutes at 10:30pm.

The mrt was so long, much longer than expected in your post above. It was the last scare house i went around 11, waiting time was already 110 minutes. By the time I got out, I was already close to 12am.

Managed to squeeze in time for the mummy ride.. Other than that the waiting times were either too long or they shut the queue (even for accelerator which had 5 minutes waiting time)

The lift? What lift? At the void deck?

    • Dejiki October 11, 2015 at 2:56 am #

After the mamashop scene, you will get to a lift lobby before the corridor with doors to apartments. You may (or may not) be diverted inside.

      • Roz October 11, 2015 at 8:21 am #

Oh so it’s not we anyhow own self go? I was going to suggest to my husband that we ask the ‘hantu’ to show us the lift haha…

Anyways, here’s a tip for HHNers: bring your own water bottle! Drinks are super ex and there are many drinking fountains all around the park. When we were there last, there was a long line of people waiting to refill their bottles at the water cooler near canopy flyer/waterworld (MRT) but if you walk just a bit further up, there was barely anyone at the water cooler just outside the Jurassic Park foodcourt toilets (it is past the bridge going to Far Far Away)).

        • Dejiki October 11, 2015 at 10:08 am #

There will be an emergency services policeman who would ‘assist’ you inside, so you could ask! But if a group in front of you gets chosen instead, you have to continue walking unfortunately.

          Thanks for sharing the tip!

Hi i went to HHN on friday and it was quite fun. The timings were quite different and queues were crazy.

I followed the method of running to the hell house first.. however when i reached there, there was already a queue of about 45 minutes at around 7:50pm. It became 30 minutes when i was queuing halfway

After the hell house, I went to the SG Blk 50, it was quite fun to see them use the space fully when you are inside. The queue times were around 100 minutes but it was actually moving quite quickly and it didnt felt like an hour wait.

The conTerminated has a queue time of 30 minutes, the queue was moving really quickly despite the long queues, many people take the opportunity to jump queues here and there too.

The tunnel was really infrequent, i saw it had about 100 minutes queue once, but i went it before the park close and it had 05 minutes queue time.

The MRT queue was horribly long as it is a very big scale queue. it was about 115 minutes at 10pm+. managed to queue and enter the scare zone at around 11+ close to 12am..

Rides werent quite crowded from start except for BSG. Sat the mummy ride with around 45-30 minutes queue time.

Many rides closed the queues early due to the long wait. BSG Cylon closed earlier than Human because it had 120 minutes wait.

    Most rides closed around 12:30 – 12:45

    • Dejiki October 11, 2015 at 2:52 am #

Glad to hear that you managed to visit all the houses. The suggested route has the MRT as the first stop, because its long wait time tends to stabilise at more than 2 hours in the later half.

sorry for the double post, i wrote a second post with a more detailed timing and correction with my friends help. do delete the first post and this post. sorry for the confusion

I used this guide on an off-peak day and f–king hell I didn’t even manage to finish all the haunted houses and it’s 2:06am now and I’m stuck outside the f–king 7-11 near USS

    • Dejiki October 11, 2015 at 2:57 am #

Sorry to hear that you didn’t manage to complete all the houses. 10/10 is a sold-out super-peak night actually, so it’s definitely a challenge to clear attractions without express passes.

  8. zeyka October 15, 2015 at 6:41 pm #

hi is it possible if i could wear clothing which has some glow-in-the-dark wordings? i thought it’d be cool 🙂

    • Dejiki October 15, 2015 at 10:02 pm #

Sure you can! It might even light up under UV lighting in some of the haunted houses!

  9. j October 17, 2015 at 5:13 pm #

went yesterday on a peak day and managed to complete everything minus the hell house (partly due to the fact that we were worn out from the 2 hour line for MRT)

We got in the park a tad late at 7:30ish but tackled for the rides first before people did (BSG > Mummy > Puss in Boots) then went queued for MRT.

Managed to get on Transformers before we went for conTerminated which was only 5 mins and then the HDB and maze..

Not sure if it was only yesterday but rides like BSG only closed off lines at 1:30AM and the cylon queue was at 120mins at 1:30AM but they continued operating past that.

I entered the park around 9:3Xpm on 18/10. Luckily, I managed to visit all the haunted houses except ConTERMINATED without express passes. My plan is The MRT – Hell House – Block 50 – Tunnel People. The MRT waiting time is about 2 and a half hours, 40+ mins for Hell House, 20+ mins for Block 50 and 15 mins before closing for Tunnel People. The MRT with the longest waiting time but not that exciting. I didn’t get into the lift in Block 50 as there was few people waiting already. I got assigned to the left path of Tunnel People and it’s superrrrrrrr dark inside even I can’t see those performers who scared us. Each queues closed on time 1:30am.

I am disappointed in the management of HHN5.

I have been a regular patron of the event since HHN2, and after last night, I don’t feel keen to continue going.

From my understanding, and the reassurances on your blog and others, scare actors are not allowed to touch patrons physically, and I have generally not have any issues until last night. I don’t scare easily, so I greet them as they jump out at me, and move on my way.

Last night, one of the scare actors deliberately body checked me even after I acknowledged his presence in an attempt to scare me, forcing me to push him away in self-defence.

As if that wasn’t enough, another scare actor in another maze also grabbed onto my friend’s arm as he was walking through.

While these are clear violations of what scare actors are allowed to do, we were willing to ignore this as being in high spirits and just carried on.

Sadly, the security decided to detain me for almost half an hour at the park’s closing time after stopping me as I exited another maze, demanding that I leave my particulars, and refusing to allow me to speak to the management to explain the situation before finally letting me go after they reviewed the CCTV footage carefully and realised that their scare actor had harassed me in the first place. I understand they are allowed to eject me from the park if they felt I had done something wrong to the scare actor, but holding me against my will seems a bit out of their jurisdiction.

It was supposed to be a fun night that my friends and I enjoy on an annual basis. We enjoy running for the mazes and admiring the quality of the work out into the costumes and the scare zones and mazes.

After last night though, I don’t think i want to go for HHN again. Especially not if the scare actors aren’t trained properly and are allowed to harass us, and security is going to unlawfully detain us.

They’ve made a liar of you, and a non-believer of me, and it’s regretful, but I cannot bring myself to support this event any further.

    • Dejiki October 18, 2015 at 9:21 am #

Sorry to hear about your negative experience at the park. In which houses did these incidents happen?

      • J October 18, 2015 at 9:43 am #

        MRT and Hell House.
It’s even more disappointing cuz things were done so well this year. The sets were nicely done, the costumes were excellent, especially the unique paper effigy ones!
Then everything was spoilt with all this unpleasantness.
        Such a waste.

Clear all 4 haunted houses at 21.30 sharp, without any express pass! I can’t believe it! Thank you for your tips! I came to Sentosa around 18.10, looking for gates with ‘HHN Entry’ sign and start to queue. Barcode scan was started around 19.00 and then I run to front left. There was a small group of teenagers in front of me. When the opening ceremony has finished, I started to run again to the MRT haunted house. Some people have reached the house before me but I still don’t have to wait. After MRT, I went fo Hell House. I finished both at 20.00, LOL, awesome. Not too lucky with the Tunnel People. Waiting time was 35 mins but still ok, the queue was keep moving. Blk 50 was my longest queue this night, i entered the house after 50 mins.
After finished all the houses, i went to conterminated (30 mins waiting time), the invaders, and hungry ghosts. Watch Beast Club show (not really interesting for me), and then queue for transformers (40 mins). So glad that i still could get the last MRT (needs another running session of course) to go back to my hotel.

Glad to hear you manage to clear all the houses at 9:30pm. Great job!

  13. monfrost October 24, 2015 at 1:15 pm #

we were (not so) late and reached at 730. we completed all 4 haunted house and th conterminated by 1120. not as bad as we thot it’d be! @ 720 it was alrd filled w sooo many people at the hollywood. and as we knew.. we just went to th far left and continued walking to th front. when it opened.. we ran to hell house first and it was only 20mins(or actly lesser more of 10mins), followed by mrt; the longest queue line but it was only 70mins(better than 90 or 120mins), then tunnel at 90mins but it was actly quite fast, and lastly blk 50 which i like most at 30 mins. Your tip kinda helped eventho we didnt rly follow th sequence. certainly looking forward to hhn6 already!
